-I really think his ghoulish moans and laughter are quite good. Just what I wanted. No words spoken that you can't understand like some of the ones out there lol. -The movement is good too. You could think he's dancing too with the right music for a video lol. -No batteries included. For $50, I thought why not include them? -His look is good, tho I just wished he was a bit larger all around, especially in width. The body material is about 18" wide, so very narrow. I wouldn't have been able to bulk him up with a pillow underneath bc of the narrow fabric. It was because of this, I returned. I was looking for something with a bigger presence. -His arms, once you bend them out, don't reach very far, reminded me of a t-rex arms. -The super long black fabric to hide the pole and the electronic box for the batteries and on/off switch are under, seems to be a fabric that could possible repel water...like a windbreaker type jacket material? but it seems good for outdoor use, if under a tree. I personally just wouldn't chance leaving it out in pouring rain. -I didn't put the stand together as I just knew by his size I was going to return him. The pole was metal in 4 pieces, and the leg stands were plastic. I probably would've just put the metal pole over a long stake in the ground to keep him upright in autumn windy weather. -The box arrived in excellent condition and everything was bagged new inside with directions and even a little screwdriver for the battery box. My current budget for new Halloween decorations is relevent in my decision to return :( Again, if he was larger, at least a foot wider, all around (for $50) I would've definitely have kept him bc the audio was what I wanted (no talking) and his movement was great!! ... show more

It's great for an inexpensive prop (I paid $50-15%). The ghostly wail is well done and loud. The hands are well sculpted full 3 dimensional rather than hollowed out on one side. The stand does need to be weighted down or attached to the ground with the two loop stakes included. As is, it will tip right over when it waves about so be careful! The stand pole included fit in a speaker stand I had so that was my personal solution. Cons include the pumpkin head is not a sphere - it's more pill shaped so it looks dumb viewing it from the side. The cape is wrinkled and and not as fabric like as I would prefer. Also no "Try Me" button on this prop unfortunately. But it is very responsive to sound and touch much better than the Haunted Hill Farm Lampa Solais. Testing inside with the window open my Michaels 10" Skull with Animated Ravens (a great prop!) will trigger this at 13.5 feet away with their squawking talk. The Haunted Hill Farm Lampa Solais won't trigger at even 4 feet away from the Animated Ravens prop. I'll be adding some creepy cloth and trimming down his neck ruffle but Root of Evil is a nice prop. ... show more

This looked great online but it's even better in person. It is about 7 ft. tall and was very easy to put together. The bottom part of the pole that fits into the stand is loose. That is how it is supposed to be. That helps the Pumpkin Monster to roll around, making it look like its moving. It's such a simple design but effective. Its face lights up and makes scary noises.     • Not all pieces fit
Love the pumpkin head guy but it came with 4 poles and 1 of the poles does not fit like it should almost like they sent us 3 ends and 1 middle and not 2 of each so had to leave it out but with just three it's still around 5 feet tall we figured we keep the fourth pole just in case one of the end poles breaks. He also doesn't seem very sturdy I feel if he had the fourth pole in he would probably fall over. ... show more

This was my favorite yard decoration so far, but unfortunately the stakes provided to ground it are completely useless. I received this yesterday, and today his head is broken because he won't stay standing up in the yard and falls over. He hadn't even been outside for 12 hours before falling over 3 times and eventually breaking. I tried moving where he stood, re-doing the stakes, and nothing. Waste of money. My grandkids love it. Showed it to them on 10-16-23 and they let it play for an hour enjoying it. The youngest is just over one year and he was dancing with the music.

    • Sound sensitive Halloween decorations
Love the looks of this. Need to figure out where I'm going to hang this. The sounds are pretty loud. The face and lantern light up nicely. I thought this was to be either touch or motion activated. But instead it is sound activated. Works well. Curious how this will deal with the other effects in the yard ... show more
