Description

How are the BISSELL Pet formulas different than other BISSELL cleaning formulas? The BISSELL Pet Formulas have an added ingredient; enzyme producing bacteria. Enzyme producing bacteria remove urine, feces, and vomit from the cleaning surface completely and permanently by consuming the food source. By removing the urine, feces, and vomit, bacteria have nothing left to feed on. Bacteria simply die off. If you didn't remove the urine, feces, or vomit, new bacteria will eventually start feeding again with the addition of moisture.

My cat was purring in my lap when she started retching. Before I could even get out the no in oh no she had made it to the shag rug in the living room. That was close. She almost had to regurgitate on the kitchen linoleum! I got as much as I could with cleaner and a scrub brush, but it's shag. Sometimes, you need a commercial solution. I would have bought this for the brush alone. But the foaming cleaner did more than its fair share of the work. Recommend for regurgitated cat food. As for pet urine, get yourself a spray bottle. Pour in 8 ounces of 3 percent hydrogen peroxide. Add a quarter teaspoon of dish soap and a couple of drops of tea tree oil if you have it. From this point, there are two ways to do this, and mine is the correct one: dissolve 1/4 cup of baking soda in your mixture by adding a bit at a time and shaking the bottle. Once it's all mixed in, color test a patch of what you want to clean. If it's good, you're good. Spray the mixture liberally over - and by that I mean douse - the affected area. You want the cleaning stuff to travel where the urine traveled, so you have to get it wet. Let it dry thoroughly. There should be visible baking soda. Then vacuum. If the mixture is too thick for your sprayer, just pour it right on the spot. I made it through a cat with kidney disease and one with diabetes one right after the other (taking in a hospice kitty to cope with the grief of losing one is counterintuitive, but it worked for my family). Our mattresses, bedding, and carpets looked and smelled like new. The other way to do this is to just mix the liquids. Shake baking soda over the spot and then spray it with the liquid. That's fine, if you don't mind that the baking soda won't get evenly distributed throughout the soiled area and the stink might be still there after one treatment. ... show more

I had problems at first with this product. Just turned out that my adult son was able to help me out. Yes, it can foam out where the button is. Only if you are to hard on it. I could not even get it started. I was unable to push the button hard enough to snap the button into being used. He helped me and now I can use the can just fine. He does it to hard, even the lightest touch of his makes it foam out the button area. I don't seem to have that problem with the light touch of the button, then using the brush the spot is gone.
