    • Nice, effective cleaning solution
This was an easy to use solution that did a very good job cleaning the carpets in my two cat home. It has a light, fresh smell, not perfume-y, and did not bother me or my cats. I used less than half the bottle to shampoo carpeting in 4 1/2 rooms. I will definitely be buying this again!

    • Cleans well and not overwhelming in smell
Used Bissel’s 4x cleaner and the smell was too much for me. Took about 2 days to either go away or for me to go nose blind to it. This on the other hand, cleaned well (got up plenty of dirt and grime) and best of all, there was no horrible smell. I’ll buy it again when the time comes.

    • Did a good job without a strong smell
I never tried the "Professional" formula so I cannot compare the 2, but I can tell you this Allergan formula did a very good job on our medium-high pile carpets and did it without a strong fragrance. Our pets were walking in the rooms I cleaned as soon as we let them, and they would have steered clear if there was any trace of a strong odor. It does appear to have helped with the wife's pollen allergies and our nephews pet allergies, however it is required to shampoo quite often to keep up this protection (Bissell recommends once a month). I could not find this Allergan formula in our area so I am glad Amazon had it and Amazon's price appears to be very good compared against the other types I was able to find locally. But note, as at least one other reviewer stated, pay close attention to the price for the different sizes. At the time of my purchase the 60 oz. size was a good deal, but the 24 oz. size was not, as it cost almost as much as the 60 oz. ... show more

    • Had to switch brands, and this was the best alternative......
Thanks to Corporate idiocy, my beloved Royal carpet cleaner and shampoo are no longer made. Machine still works great, but needed to replace shampoo. Bissell products seem to be very well made, and this shampoo was a great replacement, covering my needs for pet problems, allergens and deep cleaning. And made right here in Michigan!! Although quite pricey, in my opinion, it does a great job and I will be ordering more via Prime. Buy with confidence---does a great job! ... show more
