I bought the puppy for my 3 year old and the unicorn for my 5 year old. They love them. The remote is easy to use and the perfect size for their hands. The button guides are clear enough to help them remember which button controls which action. Switching between modes is clear and easy. Learning to program tricks is easy and fun to watch. The only reason I didn't give this a 5 star is because the remotes are generic and controls both animals at the same time, which frustrates my kids (and in turn me)! Also, one of the chips to the training treats broke off the first time we put it in (which is no biggie to me). I'd buy these again and plan to when my nephew is old enough. ... show more

My daughter has been asking for a robot dog forever, finally got this one for her bday. Its great, easy to charge (and its reasonably quick), mostly easy to control. She's 7 and pretty much got the main movements she wanted from it right away. I know that there is more that it can do, but we haven't explored that yet, she likes what it does just with the basic remote (dancing, walking, following hand commands). The toy is really good, did not like the additional chips that came with it for different types of actions. Could have built in functionality for couple of buttons on the toy itself. Its a bit steep in price for a too litle of a toy.

My daughter got this when she was 5 and she just turned 7. She loves it! Even my older kids like to play with it. The training if the puppy took us a few minutes to figure out but after we did she loved putting in music and the puppy would dance to it.
