I used this to replace the stock setup in my P1S. I print a lot... I mean almost 24/7 with my printers. I put 1100 hours on the stock setup (not hardened steel) from Bambu before it failed. This unit failed after 500 hours. I get close to 1500 hours on my hardened steel OEM gears from Bambu. The bearings/bushing in the idler arm failed and this resulted in imperfect top layers. Several hours of troubleshooting before I took the hotend apart to find the issue. I really wanted this to be a value replacement, but after running OEM and this one, I will only be using OEM going forward. As far as print quality goes, I did not see any improvement in print quality over the OEM parts. One concern I had, but was not able to use it long enough to find out, was the wear on the gear pressed to the drive motor. I know BL gear is plastic and I think this would help the motor drive gear last longer, as the plastic would ear out first. As I Look at the left side of the idler arm on my image and every other 1 star reviews, it appears the gear eats into the arm. This is an issue, and hopefully the design can be upgraded to prevent this. There has to be a way to better balance the pressure on this arm.

So I was having extrusion issues on my printer, and I needed to get a new extruder. This was available next-day shipping so I pulled the trigger and got it in. Install took 15 minutes and I was up and running again the next day. I saw another reviewer talking about the clicking sound on the retractions on the extruder. I did hear that as well, so I pulled it apart and put some grease on the pinion gear, after doing that, the clicking sound subsided. Considering these parts are now running metal on metal, instead of metal on plastic, I plan to pull the head off after 50 prints and apply some more grease to keep it in tip-top shape. I don't expect to have to replace this again for the life of the printer. The prints come out perfect again.

Did not slow the print head at all, and provides good air circulation. Used with mainly PETG and has worked well after many spools of filament.

Me and a friend both installed these in our P1S's around the same time, and a week or two later he mentioned his printer had started throwing a new error: "The resonance frequency of the X axis is low. The timing belt may be loose." He'd attempted to tighten his belts, but the error persisted. I thought this was odd because I'd started seeing the same error too, since I hadn't noticed a change in print quality I'd been ignoring it. A few days later his print quality started going down noticeably, so he removed the Panda extruder and went back to OEM. Rebooted the printer and the resonance frequency error vanished, and print quality was immediately back to normal. About a week later I had a nasty clog in the extruder, so while I had it pulled out I swapped it back to OEM as well. Wouldn't you know it, my resonance frequency error vanished immediately too. So it seems this causes the printer to throw errors, although whether or not it causes any real issues appears to still be up for debate - my friend had print quality issues, but I never did.
