These seem like a simple upgrade and install easily, but they caused serious problems with my AMS. Everything was working perfectly before installation. Immediately after installing these button caps, I experienced feeding failures and print quality issues that progressively worsened. Upon investigation, I discovered all filament passing through the AMS had developed a rough, abraded texture…. something that never occurred before. This eventually led to complete AMS failure requiring full disassembly to remove sheared filament that had clogged the internal mechanisms. I also had to replace my hotend due to a clog caused by the damaged filament. After removing these caps, the AMS returned to normal operation. The timing is too clear to be coincidence: installed caps → immediate feeding problems → removed caps → problems resolved. I suspect they create slight misalignment or friction in the feed path that causes the AMS gears to grind the filament. Save yourself the trouble and potential repair costs skip these and stick with the stock AMS configuration.

Here's my take on these inlets. The instructions say to press firmly, but don't! They will crack on the edges. The instructions should specify sliding them onto the front first (the BIQU logo side), then pressing them on the back for a snug fit. I initially cracked one following the instructions, thinking they'd snap in, but was able to install it correctly after a few tries. You'll likely have feeding issues if they aren't installed correctly and are loose (ask me how I know!). Once installed correctly, they fit snugly, and you can push on them when installing filament without them moving. After figuring out the correct installation, I still think this is a great product that should help save my AMS parts. I Have the AMS 1

These just pop right on over the existing feed holes, and don't obstruct functionality at all. I didn't notice any damage to my existing feed system, but I figure a little extra protection is for the best.

This is a really good idea but in practice they just don’t work. The problem is they do not stay in place. I actually had them get cocked and jam my AMS multiple times. I finally gave up, removed and bined them. Too bad, I like their products.
