A few days later, it had expanded to it's real size and I put it on my spare bed I keep in my basement. Seems to be of good quality and you can't beat the price. Would buy again. I just got it and am still waiting on it to fully fluff up but so far, it seems really nice. It fits nicely onto the loft bed and seems to be 8 inches. Still waiting to see how it holds up after everyday use, but so far it looks really great.
