This works to get rid of extra oil build up to an extent. It’s not quit as good as dry shampoo, but it definitely dose help. I use it because I don’t wash my hair as often as I shower to try and keep it healthy and grow it out longer faster.

I'm an 'older' woman with fine straight hair and an oily scalp. I've had an oily scalp my entire life but as I've aged my hair has gotten dry and static-y, especially in the winter. In my youth I washed my hair daily, but I don't dare do that now that my hair and skin has gotten so dry, and with baby fine hair I have to be really careful not only with how often I wash but the ingredients I use on my hair as well. Most moisturizing products weigh my hair down and leave it looking greasy, and sulphates and silicones are a definite no-no. I ordered this thinking there was no way it could do what it promises, but what if it did? I researched the ingredients since they're not listed here (I will list them at the end of this review for those that care) and decided to place the order. I normally wash my hair twice a week even though by the second day my roots are already showing signs of my oily scalp, but here I sit 48 hours later and my hair still looks freshly washed! I should also add I didn't notice any scent (product) whatsoever, but if there is one it must be very light. And I found that rather than following the instructions it's easier for me at least to bend at the waist, apply the product (it doesn't take much) to my fingertips and massage it into the scalp. That way the majority of the product goes on the scalp and hair roots where it needs to go. I can recommend this without reservation, and it should last a good while since such a small amount is used with each application. If I notice any adverse effects with further use I will update this review, but for now I'll be adding this to my regular hair washing regimen. I used this several times and I don’t notice a difference in the oiliness of my hair after using it. It didn’t have any negative impact on my hair, but I didn’t see any benefits either. For reference, I usually wash my hair 2-3 times per week. I had hoped this would help reduce oiliness and therefore reduce the need for dry shampoo, but that didn't happen.

This serum was so great to help control my scalp oil and keep it from making my hair really greasy. I have really oily hair and skin in general so anything that can actually help with that is a product I will want to keep buying. This scalp oil did just that for my hair and helped me be able to space out my hair washes longer than every single day.

This Biolage hair care product has that Biolage smell to it! Smells HEAVENLY! I’ve always loved the smell of all Biolage products! So this particular hair care ‘serum’ is applied to the scalp/root of your hair right after cleansing/conditioning your hair in the shower. You’ll want to towel dry your hair. And then you apply 1-2 drops directly to scalp about every 1-1 1/2 inches and rub it in. After you apply to scalp everywhere you’re applying it, you’ll then want to rub your scalp all over gently for 1-2 mins. And then proceed as usual. I blow dry my hair usually. This product is meant to decrease oil build up in hair. I’ve used this in my own hair and my daughter’s hair. She is 6 years old and has very very long hair. I try to wash her hair only 2X per week to keep her long locks healthy. She has neither oily or dry hair-as of yet-she is still very young and that will change of course as she gets older. But, I like using these drops in her hair because you do not need much, they smell Amazing, and they help to keep her hair less oily during the school week as the week goes on! I can get away with doing an actual wash on her hair to just once per week if I really wanted to! For myself, I have dry hair-usually. But, when I don’t keep up on my coloring/highlights (which I have not been-last highlight was in OCT 2023) my hair then gets much oilier in between washes. These drops DO work for my own hair!! Again, they smell amazing and have my hair/head smelling amazing! And, these genuinely help keep my hair from getting oily! It also does not change the texture of my hair! They don’t do the opposite and make my hair oily-originally, I thought they may do that for some reason? But they don’t! They genuinely do help keep oil in the hair at bay! I can get away with skipping an extra day or two in my next hair washing session(s)! I definitely recommend these hair drops!! They work! Especially if you have Oily hair-these will work amazingly well for you!!
