Hot tub came with the house we purchased so I had no history on it. It seemed well maintained, but even with perfect chemical balances it smelled so musty and had a slight green hue. This stuff worked WONDERS. Within 2 or so minutes of running the solution through the gunk started to show in the foam. I was so shocked at how much gunk was in the pipes of this hot tub!!! Dipping the shammie in the water removed all of the green gunk from the headrests etc. A couple hours and the hot tub looks and smells new, and the water is crystal clear!! I have had my spa for 16 years. I saw this product and was getting ready to change the water, so why not try it. From the second you drop that stuff into the water you have got some crazy effervescent water reaction going on. It was so cool, I really wanted to jump in. But then it started to foam, and on the top of this foam was stuff I did not think existed in my tub. I am good with maintaining the water in my spa but hey, 16 years of something. About 10 minutes later the motor on my spa seized, the end. I made some homemade plumbing repairs on the big lines when it was out of service on a deck rebuild. That product ate through my homemade repair, a lot of silicon. So if you have a spa that is barely hanging on, or you want a new one, use this product. Your spa should be in tip top shape before you use it. My spa repair guy said I should have called him for the first repair and this would not have happened. $800 lesson learned. Foams up nice, which they say helps get more gunk. The foam itself is dirtier than the water looked, so has to have worked some.

The media could not be loaded. The last time we filled the tub, it had a funky smell within a couple of days. 💩 I didn't want to drain it again, but then again... I don't want to sit in gunk stew. Enter Ouster. I put it in and during the first 5 minutes or so, I didn't think it was going to do anything. But 20 minutes later I was completely grossed out by the gunk it scraped out of the pipes. So if you don't want to sit in gunk stew, do yourself a favor and clean the pipes! 💦 ... show more
