I need a new straightener every 15 years or so. I thought about the Dyson, but I recently bought a Dyson handheld that just really soiled the bed so I’d been feeling sour in the brand. This was recommended to me as an alternative. I like it. First, it works! It’s nice these days to purchase an appliance that works. You can adjust the temperature. Aldi it has the function where you can hit a button to make it vibrate while using it. Listen, I have no idea if the vibrating makes some difference in your hair, but as someone who has mild carpal tunnel, that vibration is pleasant when my hands get numb, so that’s an unexpected bonus. It heats up quickly. It’s expensive but less than the Dyson so that’s another win. ... show more

Best flat iron ever! I absolutely LOVE the vibrating plates. This is actually my second one after my first one died. I have long, thick, wavy hair and this flat iron works better by far, than any other I have ever owned. I had my previous one since Covid and I held my breath hoping the same one would be still available as I liked that one so much. This is an updated version, and the nicest thing on the new one, is that it remembers my previous setting, so as soon as I turn it on, it goes right back to what it was last time. After using the Bio Ionic 10X for a few weeks, I can say it’s a solid straightener with some nice features, but it doesn’t live up to its premium price. It heats quickly, feels lightweight, and the vibrating plates do help the iron glide smoothly. My hair comes out straight and shiny, so performance isn’t the issue. However, it takes me longer to straighten my hair with this tool. The problem is value. When I compare it directly to my BaBylissPRO, the results are basically the same, if anything, the BaByliss actually keeps frizz under control better, especially in humidity, and I live in Puerto Rico. Considering the Bio Ionic costs almost twice as much, I expected a noticeable improvement, and it just isn’t there. It’s a good tool, but not a great one for the price. ... show more

Best. Flat Iron. Ever! I seriously considered the GHD Chronos- which is obviously a great choice but I have thin/fine hair. The Ionic allows me to set a temp at 300 vs the optimal 365 Chronos uses. So, if you have fine or color treated hair, this is your holy grail. Super soft, no frizz, no steaming - love it ... show more
