Don’t buy this. It’s cheap but doesn’t last long I used it one time and threw it In the dishwasher and now it’s rusty. Waste of money.

If you are a casual home cook, or setting up your first residence, this is a solid knife set. Handles are easy to hold, and have a nice grip (not slick or sticky). The blades are well set and do not wiggle/feel loose in any way. Each knife comes with it's own plastic safety cover that stays snuggly in place. I gave each knife a solid swing and the covers didn't budge. They cut beautifully, everything from produce to meats to bread. We've only had these in use for a month now, so I can't speak to their blade longevity (i.e. how fast they get dull). So far, they have been every bit as reliable as my high end knives. Of note: My husband wasn't a fan of the faux marble handle aesthetic. They aren't for him, so he won't be losing sleep over it. We also noticed a typo on the package; the santoku and bread knife labels were switched.

I got the white speckled set. Was afraid they might look and feel cheap/weightless. They have a good heft to them. And most importantly, they're sharp. To take them for a whirl for the first time I peeled and cut cantaloupe and they worked perfectly.
