  • Great bargain!
Size: 212cc
I bought this to use on my old Brave logsplitter, as the 30+ year old Briggs finally gave up the ghost. I was dubious, but the price between this and a new brand-name motor was nearly $500! It installed easily, even though one of the pump bracket holes stripped out. Aside from that, it was a seamless installation. It starts right up, usually on the first pull. It runs the splitter great, with power to spare. Oil changes are easy. I have nothing bad to say about this motor, and would buy it again. ... show more

  • Awesome replacement engine
Size: 212cc
It's a great engine. I had a different brand engine on this tiller that had extremely low service hours on it but I failed to take adequate precautions and allowed the carburator to totally rust up. Ordered this last March and didn't actually get around to installing it until last fall. Just left it setting inside the shed with no gas. Broke it out above 3 weeks ago and actually had to use old gas in it because of time constraints. It fired and ran just fine with the old gas. Got back down there this past Sunday with new non ethanol gas with a fuel treatment added. Fired right up on the first pull. It's got a ton of power so I'm keeping it pretty low throttle and no strain whatsoever. Tremendously pleased with this engine ... show more

  • Pretty good! Update!
Size: 173cc
I have to say that this little engine works great. I got this to replace my weak 2.70 HP engine on my push mower and I wasn't disappointed. It runs smooth and it quiet compared to my old engine. Also burns half the gas my Briggs used. I was pretty amazed by that. The brake cable fit right up and I had to install a throttle cable since my old one was set from the factory. And you have to thread the mounting holes in the engine. I threaded mine 3/8" NFT. But I am very satisfied so far. Only thing was the shaft was about 1" longer than my original which was fine in my case but might not work for others. Definitely would recommend. 1 year Update: still runs great but burns oil pretty bad. So buyer beware. Keep your eye on the dip stick. ... show more

  • Little Power House
Size: 212cc
Great engine, good power without being modded, only had to adjust the idle, fill with oil and after first start inow starts first pull with little effort. My hubs just rehabed a Murray Explorer go kart for street use with this engine and have not done any mods We have it driving a 30 series torque converter with racing belt and green spring in the driven pully to a jack shaft to a 420 roller on a 60 tooth sprocket. is 4 x 4 wheel hubs on a 1” live axle with golf cart wheels and tires Our new toys flies! ... show more

  • Great little engine
Size: 212cc
I ordered this for my Coleman CT200U-EX because HF was out of Predator Engines within 100 miles of me and this had a two day delivery and i kind of like the color. Plus it got good reviews. But after shipping was delayed twice on this engine, I was able to locate a Predator 224 at my local HF. I installed it and was very pleased with it's performance, but I had already painted my bike blue in anticipation of the Built Hard Engine and the Predator didn't look the great. Then this guy finally showed up and I swapped it in. Started first pull, is a little quieter than the Predator, and seems to perform just as well as the 224. Plus it looks great. Very happy with this purchase so far and would not hesitate to buy another if needed for another project. ... show more

  • Out of Box Defective Motor, Working On Resolution
Size: 713cc
I was sent a motor that out of the box is defective, appears to be siezed. So far there's been no response to my messages from the seller (sent 4 messages on two platforms and called 3 times without success). Hopefully my luck will change. If it does I'll update this. Otherwise I'd recommend avoiding, you don't want to be in my position. Update: I finally got an email and sent pictures and videos and answered numerous questions. Hopefully they resolve this... for sure its a bad motor... ... show more

  • Great little motor
Size: 173cc
I replace a briggs and stratton motor on a 20" push mower, using the one tapped hole and enclosed bolt, then tapped two other holes 3/8" x 16 to reuse original mounting bolts. i removed keyway that was on the shaft and old blade adapter and bolt worked perfectly. The original brake cable fit and worked perfectly. I bought an $8 throttle cable and installed it to complete the switch over. The engine holds 1/2 qt of engine oil. When checking oil using dipstick, be sure to read instructions. You check engine oil with the dipstick without screwing it into the engine. I filled with gas, pushed primer button twice, and engine started effortlessly with first pull and runs smooth and quiet. It has much more power than the briggs motor I removed. After running engine for 5 minutes or so, I changed the oil. Note you must flip mower upside down to drain oil, there is no drain plug. So far I am very impressed with this little motor. ... show more
