  • Most Triumphant
Bill & Ted's Excellent Adventure was one of my favorite movies growing up, and as such, I anticipated this movie would be awful. I say this because most of the 20-30 years-later-sequels to my favorite movies have been pretty disappointing, at best, and a handful have almost ruined the good-vibe of the originals. I figured this would be somewhere in the middle of 'meh' and 'womp womp', but was most pleasantly surprised. Bogus Journey had been somewhat disappointing itself, and some of the previews I saw made this movie seem like it would be a repeat of that. However, this movie goes back to its roots, once again involving time travelers snatching up historical figures in order to save the day at the last minute. The movie had many a nod toward both the original and Bogus Journey, but this one felt a bit more focused and a lot more fun than the second. While it would be virtually impossible to outdo the original movie, this one far surpasses the second and was very enjoyable on the first watch. Will it be a timeless treasure that will produce similar feelings of euphoria and nostalgia upon a second, third or hundredth viewing? - I don't know. But I felt this deserved a thumbs up. Also - I want to add that the kids were actually not a hindrance to the story or the fun at all, as most often is the case when there's a 'next generation' in a franchise. For me, they were unexpectedly a much welcomed addition to the cast of characters. There were a few misses here and there, like the muscle-men versions of Bill & Ted, and the random people popping in and out of time and space, but, it didn't ruin the movie for me. Overall, my son and I both really liked it and were very pleasantly surprised. Excellent. ... show more

  • A love letter to fans
Long overdue sequels usually come in a "meh" variety, not great, not horrible, lots of callbacks to the originals, and forced performances that make you ask "why did they bother?" There is a sense of fun in Bill and Ted Face the Music that helps escape the fury of sequels. The story delivers in expectations at the beginning, showing us where Bill and Ted are after all these years, not delivering the promised song alluded to in the earlier films. They are performing in weddings, or a small club at one point, and not much else. The daughter of Rufus arrives basically to find why the song hasn't been written. We meet their daughters. A robot from the future (that reminds me of Kryten from Red Dwarf) is sent to kill them and we find our heroes traveling throughout time. The story is pretty simple and you won't find anything monumental in it. What I love is that it's fun and you can tell the actors had fun doing it. It leaves just enough that we could see more stories in the future. The chemistry between Keanu Reeves and Alex Winter has not been lost, and man I miss seeing Alex Winter on the screen. The movie loses one star only due to the fact that there are opportunities to expand on characters that are never fully realized, in part to focusing on so many characters. Perhaps a sequel is in order. This is a love letter to fans and is fun. I do recommend having a Bill and Ted marathon where you watch all three . ... show more

  • Excellent!!
Not as good as the first, but better than the second! I was worried because Bill & Ted’s Excellent Adventure is my favorite movie, and I wasn’t sure if they would do a third movie well, but it was way better than I thought! Funny, heartfelt, and overall definitely worth a watch if you’re a Bill & Ted fan! Be excellent to each other!! ... show more

  • Great Movie for the Bill & Ted collection
This is Bill & Ted for the modern era. They bring back their old personalities from the original movies, again their old(er). Now they each have a kid which shares similar personalities as Bill and Ted respectively. Face the Music is not really for everyone, but if you are a long time fan of Bill & Ted, this will really be a great movie to add into the collection. The pull some strum some of the older strings of the original movies as well as jamming on some new ones. Youll have some laughs and some cheesy bad guys to cause trouble. There is a great tribute to George Carlin in it as well. Dont try to expect anything more than what made the originals great or youll surely disappoint yourself. ... show more

  • Such fun!
My family loved this movie. We have been fans of the first two Bill and Ted movies and were anxiously awaiting this third one. It did not disappoint. The quirky ness of Bill and Ted is still there and even funnier now that they are "adults" with daughters. The music is inspiring and it was fun to see some of the old faces from the other two movies. ... show more

  • The English audio does not work on the Blu-Ray
Since we going to the movies this year was Impossible I was looking forward to buying more movies and support them that way. But when I got bill and Ted's face the music Blu-Ray yesterday. The English audio did not work and the only way to Watch the movie is watching the English version with narration it was extremely annoying and took away any sort of movie experience. Very disappointed in this product and I don't know how I can correct it. Since all I get is a website and no way of getting to customer service through their. Very sad very disappointed. ... show more

  • Hard to watch all the way through
Someone talked me into buying this. I am an actual fan of the first 2 Bill and Ted movies, but this third movie is a poor attempt to resurrect the Bill and Ted franchise. Story line is confusing on multiple levels and while there are a few clever scenes, as a Bill and Ted fan, this was really hard to watch. Glad I did not spend $20 demand when it came out. ... show more

  • Bill & Ted 3 - A "Where Are They Now?" movie
Decades later after film two: "Bill & Ted's Bogus Journey", film three: "Bill & Ted Face The Music" has the title & supporting characters age to match real life. On one hand, it's nice to see the new film NOT be a franchise reboot like some others are, but instead a look at the leads aging year by year on both sides of the screen. If you liked the previous films, you'll like Face the Music. If you were iffy about them, but want to see a "Bill & John Wick's Excellent Adventure", you're going to be quite disappointed. ... show more
