Update 2017-08-06 Added a comparison photo showing this vs the Swell Wakesurf Creator alternative. http://amzn.to/2hHFhTG Update - 2017-08-04 Took the Delta to Powell last week and it was amazing. We spent quite a bit of time trying to dial in the surf. We have done a lot of research leading up to this trip as to what we can tweak to get a bigger cleaner wave. I took pics and video of what we tried, not quite ready to post, but will be soon. First we filled the rear ballast full with all onboard stock ballast full, a total of around 4000lbs of ballast. The wave was OK, but very rough. We dumped some ballast from the non-surf side and it cleaned up a bit. Adding an additional 1000lbs of ballast to the bow, and the wave shape improved and lengthened, but it was still a mess. I didn't want to do it but I made everybody move to the surf side of the boat, and it cleaned up a bit still, but definitely wasn't clean. I dove in attached the Mission Delta, I put it about 2 feet forward of the rear, farther than I normally do. The wave improved but not much. I moved it back a foot and saw additional improvement. Finally I placed it in the sweet spot, as far back and down as possible, and the lip of the wave formed, the froth cleared and we had one of the best waves we've seen on this boat. Still, I have been very curious about the SWELL alternative. I don't suspect that it will do better, but I want to find out. Included some images to show the difference it makes. Orig Review Only one trip out but so far I love it. We bought this just before our last trip of the season in 2016. We took it to Lake Powell for several days and truly enjoyed the improvements in the wake. With the Mission Delta we no longer needed to weight the boat to one side, or force everyone to shift seating. And it was a good thing, as with the excessive ballast, listing could be dangerous, surfing is much funner than swamping. The unit is lightweight, easy to use, and lives up to everything they claim. I have a 2007 Chaparral Sunesta 252 with extended swim platform. Props are far under. This small footprint product produces the perfect wake-wave. Works great in choppy conditions or idea conditions. You don’t have to own a wake boat to enjoy free lining surfing. Just a decent swim platform for safety. I recommend this product 100% especially after owning two other brands before which were difficult to use and one broke apart and the other accidentally sank. I hope this helps potential buyers. Buy the best one first not third like me! I’ll post some videos soon. ... show more

We’re loving the wave it creates and the quality of the shaper itself, but the suction is not nearly as strong as we had hoped. It has come off several times. We almost lost it once, but thankfully it does float so we found it. We have been tying it by a thin rope ever since. May be investing in the larger swell wake shaper for a stronger suction. ... show more

Delta 2.0 works very well and creates a clean, large wave. Easy to attach and definitely sticks better to a flat section of hull. We lost it a couple of times when it was not properly attached and I might add a leash just for the heck of it. The customer service from Mission is excellent. When Delta 2.0 went missing, ( I think it was stolen while boat was docked at a campground) they sent me a new one no questions ask. So, make sure you register the product when you get it!! ... show more

    • Super clean wake to surf?
Mounted this on my Malibu VLX and it gave the biggest and most clean wake to surf that I have seen since owning the boat from 2012! Even larger wave with a clean face than stacking the rear of the boat with external fat sacks. My boat has internal ballast, before buying this I had to fill the one side we were going to surf on, have everybody pile into that corner of the boat and still fiddle with the power wedge and speed to get the right wake to surf. Now, I fill all internal ballast, put wedge in surfing position, attach the wake surf shaper to the opposite side we are going to surf on and hit the gas. Worked great for my boat. However they said you don’t need to tether it even though it said they would send a tether with it. Well they didn’t send a tether and I lost it on the first trip. They should be advertising it as needing to be tethered- not the other way around. Frustrating for sure - I’m out $250 and I had to order another one. I will definitely be tethering the new one. ... show more

    • Mission Delta vs Liquid Force Edge Mega
Color: Version 2.0
Ordered the Delta and the Liquid Force Mega. The different between them was significant. They both did an effective job of cleaning the wave, the the Mega seemed to flatten the top of the wave, and it didn’t have a good lip. The Delta is significantly smaller in size, but it cleaned the wave better and gave a much better lip for riding. Tested both on a 2010 Air Nautique 226 V-Drive with 3 factory ballast tanks at 10.5mph. Also, the Delta didn’t adversely affect the handling of the boat when I loop back to pick up the rider. With the huge Mega on the side of the boat, it had a very noticeable effect on steering. ... show more
