    • It was a stupid thing to do
Okay. First off, let me admit that buying these movies was a stupid thing to do. Actually sitting down and watching them was even stupider. When I saw a couple of trailers for the Purge when the first movie came out, I thought, and still think, that at best, it was a ridiculous premise for a movie. But, what else can you expect from Hollywood, these days? So I had absolutely no interest in ever watching any of these things. Until. The other day I got to thinking about what it’s going to be like for the first few days and weeks after The Rapture. And by the Rapture I DO mean that moment (instant) when we believers are caught up to meet Jesus in the air, ‘and so shall (we) ever be with the Lord.’ When this happens, Holy Ghost is going to leave this world. The restrainer will be gone. When that happens? It’s going to be absolute and indescribable chaos and anarchy—kind of like what they were ‘advertising’ in that movie The Purge, I got to thinking—so that tweaked a little interest in checking these movies out. And I actually was not disappointed; they were as bad and unfit for watching as I had always expected. I will give them at least one star for having plots that were a bit exciting, as fr as they went. But thee movies are still not fit to watch. I managed to sit through them all one time, before throwing them into the trash where they belong. These movies try to capture some of the mayhem that is yet to come—but this is nothing compared to what people left behind are going to experience. If you haven’t done so already, PLEASE repent of your sin and seek God with all your heart while you still have time. ... show more

I love these movies, but on VUDU, Walmart, etc...they're always SO expensive to get as a set! Great price, the movies themselves leave you waiting for what's going to happen next, each can pretty much stand alone but also connect.

These are very good and scary for future. I love the first one with Ethan Hawke. But I really love the 3rd one Election Year. I've got 2 more to watch. Thanks!

    • It’s The Purge
Not a lot to write. It’s a movie about a night where you can commit crimes for 12 hours. It’s fun, mindless. Not a whole lot of depth or plot but it’s enjoyable when you just wanna watch a bloody mindless movie. I like the series.
