I’ve only done 1 tattoo with this machine (see above), but I’ve tested a bunch of needle sizes and this machine has no problems pushing single needles to the larger 27 mags. The hit is very consistent, I was able to have smooth shades and transitions. Also was able to pull off some super tiny demanding details no problem. I previously bought a cheap dragonhawk, and that machine was a nightmare. This one was instantly smoother, lighter, much longer battery, and very consistent hit. I have seen no difference in their whole stroke changing gimmick. I’m pretty sure that does nothing, so if that’s why you’re buying, it might disappoint. Overall, pretty smooth cheap machine. This machine runs really quiet and smooth. If you’re using the external battery, I like the big display with the easy to use buttons. I have large hands with fat fingers, and sometimes these batteries have little tiny buttons on them there a pain to adjust, especially with a pair of gloves on. The dial for the depth settings is very handy clear easy to read some tattoo pins though include any markings, so is it nice to have but it’s nice to be clearly marked. ... show more

The media could not be loaded. I received this machine about a month ago, but I wanted to take my time and really test it out before writing a review. I was married to my old machine, but since trying this one, I have not used anything else! This machine has some weight to it, as it's a wireless machine, but the weight is distributed evenly throught the machine, rather than sitting on the back of the machine, weighing it down and putting tension on your wrist. And I absolutely love that the battery is internal, rather than attached to the top of the machine, aiding in the even weight distribution. The package came with two 3.7V 18500 Lithium Ion batteries, as well as a charger for those batteries. I used the battery that was inside the machine during shipping, and upon initial use it lasted for about 4 hours running at 8 volts with a 4mm stroke. Once it died I put in the second battery, and that one lasted for about 2 hours, so 6 hours total run time between the two. After fully charging both batteries I'm consistently getting between 6 and 7 hours per battery, running at 8 volts with a 4mm stroke. I also love that you have the option to adjust the stroke depth, which I did not have on my previous machine. Other small things I love about this machine include: the finger indents on the barrel for more comfort and better grip, the COLOR!, the steadiness and quietness of the machine, the timer on the display. Overall, this machine is a huge step up from my previous one, and I'm so glad that I came across this one. I will be reluctant to upgrade in the future for sure! If you're on the fence about getting this machine, take this as your sign to get it. I've noticed the quality of my work increase since I've been using it. It's a good investment! I'm just staring out and this pen is a nice upgrade from my last one. Very solid build with smooth action. The weight and balance feels really good in the hand. It's super easy to make adjustments on the fly and the extra batteries are a nice touch. It's nice that the batteries are removable from the battery pack itself. All in all, I'd say it's a great machine for some who is just starting out, like myself and wants to get a good feel for the art. ... show more

My son-in-law owns a few tattoo shops and has been testing this pen out. He reported that it is easy to hold, and the weight is distributed well, making it easy to obtain clean, even lines. He said the battery range is approximately 6 hours and feels just as good as much more expensive pens he has used. The superior craftsmanship is obvious, as well as the thought put into the design.     • Helping my nephew, learn to improve his skills

While my nephew stays with me, I try to have creative outlets for him and try to give him ideas on Waze. He could make a career out of something that he loved, or had a talent tour. We have all the practice, skin and little dummies that he works on and this gun he says it’s a big improvement. It just works better and is easy or for him to practice being a beginner that he is, he said it’s a nice small size but you can get a good grip on it. I tried it out as well to just practice and feel like I know how to tattoo not that I want to get into any kind of business and this did go easier than I thought.
