We often have family stay and need numerous beds. This ottoman/bed is exactly what we needed. Folded up it works as a foot rest in the man cave, opened in my office it makes a comfortable bed (we did add a 2 inch gel foam pad since my mom had back surgery) but others have said it was comfortable without anything on it. I chose this for the need but the big selling point for me is it's versatile and I didn't have to put it together! It came assembled and is very sturdy. We don't have anyone that weighs 600 pounds like they advertise, but we do have bigger people 350# and I have no concerns it will break. Love the color ( we bought the light grey) and the comfort. I used this as a daily bed for many months, when I was in a small apartment in a one room for all situation. So one room was the kitchen, dining room, sewing studio, bedroom, living room, office and closet. This chair was a perfect space saving solution, it looked nice when used as a chair and comfortable as a bed. It is easy to convert between the two for daily use. It’s a good height, looks nice and the price was really good considering shipping to Hawaii and getting such a compact useful piece of furniture. I would buy again but gave 4 stars because I doubt very much that the fabric is linen, it’s likely polyester and when I moved recently one of the hardware fell off and I had to replace a screw. Used a twin size foam mattress pad just to make it a little more padding for my adult friend who slept on it. She said it was very comfortable. Very nice. Kids needed something to sit/watch tv on in the bonus room, and this has fit the bill perfectly. It's light weight, yet sturdy, many adjustments, and most importantly, it's comfortable. Kids love it. Considering getting a second one for overnight stays. Highly recommend.

Well I’d love to say this unit was perfect but it’s definitely not. While it seems sturdy and well put together, it’s major flaw is the lack of comfort. Sitting on this thing is ok, but you don’t want to do it for long periods, especially not to read a book. If you have a visitor that you don’t like, this is the seating option for them. As for laying down, just don’t do it. Sleeping is a brutal punishment to the back even after adding a 3” memory foam topper. Not to mention this will only work for people that are in the shorter category. I really wish it had been more comfortable as it is wonderful to be able to fold it up and use it as an ottoman.
