I bought this item to use with a rented engine hoist for a transmission install. Best 30 something dollars I've ever spent!!! This thing saved me tons of time and frustration. It was as easy as a turn of a handle to get a CVT lined up perfectly with the engine. God tier tool. Build quality is decent and for a do it yourselfer like me its more then adequate. I cant compare it to another one because this is the only engine leveler I've ever used, but it worked better then I could have even hoped for. I have used Torin jacks and jack stands before, but this is the first item from their "big red" line I've purchased. As long as its kept dry and lubricated there's really nothing that can fail. I'm not sure what else to say except if you're doing an engine or transmission that needs to be lined up for installation, this equipment is a must have. ... show more

For the price, this really isn't a bad leveler. I lubed the screw before first use. Dropped one star because of the crappy knob. I ended up replacing the knob with a quality handle.

This is an amazing tool and I don’t know why more people use it, especially when working by yourself as it allows you to change the angle and slightly move the engine and transmission forward or backwards so you can line everything perfectly especially when working by yourself
