Great stand, did the job!
I used this stand to support my marine engine while I was rebuilding it. The stand went together fairly easy. The instructions were clear. The stand itself is nice and sturdy. I had no concerns of tipping or engine support. I saw another user complain that the engine won't spin once it's mounted. Well...you need to spray a little grease on the pivot tube and it spins just fine. No issue at all. Overall, it's a nice little stand at a great price. I would definitely buy it again.

Good Product
This worked very well. Good price. A little awkward to assemble, would be nice if it used a cotter pin or something for ease of assembly and easy storage.

Works well for BMW I-6 Motors

Decent lightweight small footprint engine stand. Assembles easily with all the hardware included. I disassemble after use for storage, and would recommend a canvas sack or something to store the hardware in, if you plan to disassemble between use. Paint was good, welded sections looked good. No complaints from the hobby/home-guy light duty usage perspective. A very good value for the price considering it's on the lighter end of the load handling spectrum. I will rate this 4 out of 5 stars . 2 things that would make it 5 star 1- Longer rotation pole 2- Wheels with a different profile (?) those are nit-picky but the wheels may be an area of improvement. tl;dr - I have used this for a BMW M52 longblock and found the stand to be just fine. I wouldn't want to be reckless with it as it could potentially tip over however it works well with my engine hoist as the single middle leg fits well. The rotation pole was a bit small for this engine, however the holes for the rotation pole are large enough to take the jack handle from my engine hoist for additional leverage. This would be golden for a 4-5 cylinder motor, however for a big cast-iron v8 I think you'd maybe consider something with dual legs in the front [or double wheels H pattern]. but those types can be a bit tough to use nose-to-nose.. YMMV

My husband was really impressed at the quality of this. He needed it to lift a motor out of an old Chevy truck. He was very impressed by the quality and the ease of assembly.

Perfect for Old Subarus
Of you own an old Subaru, (more than 5 years old), you know that engine will need an overhaul. New head gaskets, timing belt, and so on. It's a Subaru thing that many Subaru owners face. This stand makes working on that small, light, highly unreliable engine a breeze. The arms are easily adjustable so you can use some of the factory engine mounting bolts to secure the engine to the stand. Three wheels means it will never rock on and uneven surface, so even you backyard mechanics working on that bumpy cement pad the your grampa poured in 1982 will have steady mount. It rotates easy, which is a huge plus for access to those suby head bolts. The wheels are solid steel which makes it easy to roll around. Pretty red paint closely matches the red paint on your favorite tools from the backyard mechanics favorite store, HF.

Noticeable wobble in the engine stand
It's hard to recommend this engine stand to anyone else, as there is a lot of wobble in the engine when the "brain" part is installed into the stand itself. There is a safety pin that goes into the hole to prevent the engine from rotating on it's own. But the pin itself is not able to prevent the stand from wobbling. I think I may need to weld some nuts on the side and use large bolts to tighten the stand to prevent the wobble. The stand came in pieces as it is easier to ship the item that way. The instructions were okay, not the greatest, but you should be able to figure out how to assemble the thing just by looking at the photos. One of the legs has a little wobble in it because there is a single bolt that goes through multiple pieces to hold the assembly together. I'm debating if I should weld the legs to prevent this wobble. *********Update May 10, 2016*********** I had to quickly purchase another engine stand and this one came up because of the cheap price and Prime shipping to Hawaii. Cheapest engine stand locally is around $100. This one is $52, no brainer for me to purchase this one and wait. The first one I bought is holding a VQ35DE engine out of a 2003 Maxima. I need to disassemble also a VQ35DE engine out of a 2005 Maxima. The bad part of this engine stand is its load limit of 750lbs. I wouldn't dare put an engine with a displacement of 4.0l or more. The 3.5L (alum block with alum heads) seem too heavy for this stand.

i think i'd be a little hesitant to hang a V8 on this, even though it's rated for 750lbs. regardless, this is a great engine stand for the price, especially if you're using it for a little four banger Honda.

Great for the money
I’ve had a few engine stands over the years. This is the best value forsure, but not the best design I’ve ever had. Don’t get me wrong you can rebuild a k24 on it, but anything bigger you’ll have a hard time rotating it. The single wheel was plenty sturdy enough, but it doesn’t steer the best. Like I said though for the money you can make it work. I’ve rolled it all over the place, painted with it and even let an engine sit attached for a few months without issues
