i think i'd be a little hesitant to hang a V8 on this, even though it's rated for 750lbs. regardless, this is a great engine stand for the price, especially if you're using it for a little four banger Honda.

Decent lightweight small footprint engine stand. Assembles easily with all the hardware included. I disassemble after use for storage, and would recommend a canvas sack or something to store the hardware in, if you plan to disassemble between use. Paint was good, welded sections looked good. No complaints from the hobby/home-guy light duty usage perspective. A very good value for the price considering it's on the lighter end of the load handling spectrum. I will rate this 4 out of 5 stars . 2 things that would make it 5 star 1- Longer rotation pole 2- Wheels with a different profile (?) those are nit-picky but the wheels may be an area of improvement. tl;dr - I have used this for a BMW M52 longblock and found the stand to be just fine. I wouldn't want to be reckless with it as it could potentially tip over however it works well with my engine hoist as the single middle leg fits well. The rotation pole was a bit small for this engine, however the holes for the rotation pole are large enough to take the jack handle from my engine hoist for additional leverage. This would be golden for a 4-5 cylinder motor, however for a big cast-iron v8 I think you'd maybe consider something with dual legs in the front [or double wheels H pattern]. but those types can be a bit tough to use nose-to-nose.. YMMV ... show more
