I needed a small "pillow" that I could tuck behind a large heating pad to help it press against my back in a specific spot. The problem with most of these "pillows" is that they are so thick that they make you sit in a really uncomfortable position if you try to use them for that purpose. I purchased this pillow based on a published recommendation from someone who always takes it on airplane trips. (I don't recall where I saw this, not on Amazon.) I haven't tried it yet on a plane. It provides good lumbar support on my couch, support that I need to help with sciatica. It's a bit smaller than I pictured. I'm 5'1" tall, and the width and height work well for me. A bigger person might find it just too tiny. It does not support the middle or upper back. Also I find that my body feels stiff after leaning against this firm memory foam cushion for a while. Só I randomly decided to see if it would be great as a regular pillow (since it's small size would make it perfect for traveling).. And.. It's amazing.. Lol. I found it terrible as a lumbar pillow but it made for a perfect travel head pillow.

This lumbar pillow is shaped nothing like the picture. It’s like a blown up bag that comes in your packages. There’s no support as it’s uncomfortable to use. I’ll use it as a pillow that’s the only use I have for it right now. But to use as back support nah!!

I use this for driving. The pillow adjust to the shape of the lower back after a while. It helps with lower back pains. But it would be more comfy if it was bigger to support more space on my back.
