This takes some time to put together, but the finished product is definitely worth it. My toddler loves her new bed. It came with all the pieces and the instructions were great! This bed is also perfect for a smaller room and doesn’t take up too much space. It’s sturdy and the top didn’t come down when I got up there to put the sheets on, lol. My only complaints would be the chip that came on the drawer (not a deal breaker, I can probably paint it), the knobs it comes with weren’t cute, but a trip to Hobby Lobby solved that, and then the screws are such eye sores, but I bought round white stickers to cover them. Overall great quality for the price! The most concerning thing for me is the safety at the top bunk. Extremely shallow even with a thin mattress. We put up a secondary rail for safety that’s triple the height. Honestly the rail barely covers the mattress- I don’t think even an adult would be safe. The hardware hardly stayed attached. I wanted to replace it anyway to match the dresser we have (replaced with gold), but the handles broke off, especially for the trundle. The screws were way too shallow, and the handles were impossible to grip if you don’t rock climb. I also ran motion sensitive strip lighting up the stairs for at night when my oldest gets out of bed so she doesn’t fall and die. As a whole I recommend this purchase!!!! Just be ready to make some expected adjustments. ... show more

I went to several large retail furniture stores and looked at the quality of the beds, and then I went online and started comparing price, with materials, size, and after about a month I kept coming back to this set. I finally decided to order it because at this price point, why not? It was delivered in perfect condition. It took about 5 hours to put together, but this is a wood set and well worth the effort. Make sure to screw down all wood slats and space them evenly. This is a solid set and I am delighted with the quality! My grandkids are going to love them! Thank you!!! ... show more

Like more other reviews, I will echo that you MUST MUST MUST follow the instructions down to the letter. If you do, you will not have any issues. It took almost 1/2 day with 2 people for us to assemble the bunk bed. But it looks really beautiful, sturdy. We (adults) tried sleeping in the upper bunk as well and it never creaked and was like a solid rock. Hope it can withstand the test of time :-) ... show more

My husband and I put this together in about 3 or 4 hours, including at least a half hour break. It's much easier to do with two people rather than one person. YOU MUST FOLLOW THE INSTRUCTIONS EXACTLY for this to work, and you have to pay attention to which sides go which way by reading ahead in the instructions. Don't make any assumptions. My husband brought up the phrase "Measure twice, cut once." It's very similar to how you need to think about putting this together. Look at the instructions thoroughly TWICE before you put anything together. This bed seems pretty sturdy and I'm very happy with it. I only had two gripes: There was a crack in the railing piece at the top of the stairs, and one of the pieces of hardware had no threads in it! Other than that, this was a fun project to put together, it seems very sturdy, and my kids love it. What more could you ask for? ... show more
