This is definitely a “get what you pay for” situation. Pros: my kids love it, looks like the picture. Cons: four of the cam locks broke trying to tighten them down (not excessively hard!), one board split when tightening the screw, one hole missing for a screw on the slide, and probably worst of all — the entire bed shakes when my kids crawl across the top bunk. They only weigh 32lbs and 40lbs. I just hope it holds up for a while! Also, the bottom mattress sits directly on the floor, which is a big no-no for mattresses. Airflow is important to prevent mold and mildew. We had to order a separate set of slats to elevate the lower mattress. Overall, this bed is okay considering it’s half the cost of a higher quality item. But I kind of wish we had sprung for something nicer. Oh, and it took two people 3.5 hours to assemble. ... show more
