This bed arrived in 3 large and heavy boxes, sorry UPS. Almost all of the the parts were labeled clearly, some were printed on badly but overall you can tell which piece is which. I started assembly around 12pm, finished around 11pm. Husband was as work and I just couldn't wait so did it alone. Two adults without 2 kids and 1 baby as distractions could probably do it in about 2 hours or less. These are the only issues I had: 1. There are not many written instructions so many steps require a little guesswork. One example, the boards to hold the mattresses are labeled the same for the top, bottom and trundle so you have figure out how many to use for each level yourself. 2. The lines for the side drawer panels did not line up properly with the drawer face which made sliding the bottom drawer panel in very difficult. 3. Some of the illustrations were too vague so I had to redo some parts when I realized the holes were not aligned properly as they did not show them clearly in the picture. 4. The screws for the 1 of drawer handles could not go all the way through the hole because it was too shallow. I ended up using one from my own stash. 5. Again some of the pictures are not very clear about which way some pieces are suppose to face. So take your time and look ahead a few steps to avoid having to redo any assembling. Overall this was a perfect bed for the space I have. My daughter's love it and it seems sturdy enough. It took about 2 hours to put it together but the instructions were good and everything needed was included.

I bought this bed for my granddaughter and she loves it! Her first words were " A castle! A bed for me and Temi( her cousin)". I was leery of it being complicated to put together but my daughter and I had it assembled in about three hours. The instructions were easy to follow and all of the predrilled holes made assembly a snap. The only negative that we came across was the slats were a bit short.
