    • Disc didn't work
Just as the title says to this comment, I ordered this game, but after during the first opening sequence to the game the game stopped and changed to a black screen saying that the gamecube couldn't read the disc. I tried restarting the game a few times, sometimes getting further into the game, but inevitably the same message would pop up. ... show more

    • One of THE Best Games for the GameCube
After several years I still remember this game and that's why I am here to put in my two cents worth. I always had meant to leave a review of this game but for some reason that never happened. This game has it all and is similar to Zelda Windwaker in the way you traverse through the world interacting with the other characters and the set pieces. The action is certainly top notch. For a person that does not spend a lot of time playing video games I was able to complete the game with no problems. Notice I did not say that I "beat" the game. I could never understand how people can say they "beat" the game when in fact the game did not counter them or battle them. I am by no means a hard core gamer as I do have a life. I am not one of those trolls who spend their life trolling for reviews to trash because their opinion is the only right one. No, I am just a regular gamer. I do play some of the tougher games on regular difficulty setting and have taken on seasoned gamers online in matches. I have won my share and lost my share. The action involves real time battles with bosses and other characters. There were also boat rides and they were amazing also. I recall getting upgrades for weapons. And the weapons were serviceable. In some sense the game play reminds me of Wind Waker and Half Life 2 but more towards the latter. There is never a dull moment in this game. And I found each level to be well made. You don't come across filler levels that are just there to lengthen the game or cheap tactics to cause you to die often. No, I never had any of that. The graphics in this game is very colorful and amazing for its time. Although I have not played it in years I do still have it and am not planning to sell it as it is one of my all time favorite games along with Half Life 2 and Zelda Twilight Princes. I still can remember those games, also. The background music and sound is amazing, too. I can still remember the "Propaganda" song. That was certainly a memorable song for me. Yes, the game is actually short but I recall it being long for me because I savored each chapter rather rushing through them. You can actually explore a little if I can remember so that can add to the experience. When I finished the game I was in awe at the experience that I just had from this game. Only a few games have done that to me. If you are on the fence on this one, you are making a big mistake in not experiencing this game. It is well worth the money. I plan to play my copy again some day just to re-experience the game. Need I say more? ... show more
