Gamecube don't power up out of the box, requested a replacement and it was due to arrive today but was canceled. Don't buy it was not tested and not in excellent shape. Can't request refund due to status that it's already being replaced...

This listing is completely misleading. 3 stars because the console works but it came with a dead internal battery so the system resets every time you power off the console. The remote and power supply is also very cheap off brands. Luckily for me I have authentic controllers at home because the off brand included was not up to par with the original. This is not an actual renewed console instead they just clean up the outside and call it renewed.

The replacement controller arrived. I have used it for a week with no problem. I appreciate the effort to make the sale good. I still think it is a risk to purchase refurbished items, but I hope this purchase lasts awhile. It's hard for us old folks to find nostalgic games that work. The seller responded quickly to my issue and has offered to send a replacement controller. I will update this review when it arrives and proves to work correctly. I received the renewed GameCube Platinum Console with controller as promised. The console seems to work fine, so far. However, the controller's left joystick isn't working properly and causes glitches with movement that interfere with game play. This is something I would expect after months of play, not right out of the box. It doesn't bode well for the longevity of the console. As it is, I find it difficult to give 3 stars because of the inability to effectively use the item. For the high price, I expected more. This is the second Item I have tried to purchase this way. The first purchase delivered was the wrong item and had to be re-ordered. I do NOT recommend buying similar items unless you are willing to just give your money away.

I am so happy that I finally decided to buy this. I had a Gamecube when I was a teenager, and I loved it so much. Unfortunately, my mom and dad gave it away when I moved out, and I've been wanting to get one ever since. This was my first time buying anything refurbished from Amazon, and I honestly couldn't be happier! It was delivered super quickly, and it was packaged really well. The power cords and controller were included, and there is literally only one tiny scratch on the whole device. I was nervous to plug it in because it almost seemed too good to be true, but it worked perfectly..just like I remembered it, and it brings back so many memories! I have only had it for a couple of days, so I can't really give input on the longevity of the item, but I haven't experienced any issues yet, and it seriously feels like it is brand new! I will definitely be buying more refurbished items from Amazon. My experience couldn't have been better!
