Got the controllers in for two purposes: 1) I needed one more Gamecube controller for a 4 person set. It would rarely be used so it didn't need to be great. 2) I wanted to test doing a custom paint job on a controller and didn't want to mess up an official controller. So the problems: 1) On one controller the left joystick stopped working after about 5 mins. 2) Even when it was working, the joysticks don't have quite the right movement to them, like the shell is just ever so slightly off. 3) You can tell after opening it, that the shells are meant to be a direct copy of the originals, but an original GC controllers PCB does not fit in the shell. Really, I got what I needed out of them, as one controller held up just fine to a couple matches of Super Smash and I was able to do the custom paint job. Still, incredibly disappointed in the overall quality. Honestly can't think of a legitimate reason to buy these unless you want to work on your soldering skills or something. ... show more

I havent really gotten to use them because the one time I tried to I realized that one of the controllers werent working and as I got these to play games with my friends it was definitely annoying. Upon closer inspection to the controller ports to see if it was a bad connection ive realized that it was most likely not working because it was missing a pin. I attached two images to show what im reffering to. But I will say that the working controller worked fine enough, does feel cheap and perhaps a little clunky but thats more or less expected. ... show more

These controllers have really bad stick drift to the point where we can't even play a game for 5 minutes. I received a replacement pair from Amazon and fresh put of the box both time the purple controller has stick drift and buttons that dont work. Everyone knows that you can’t beat the Nintendo brand GameCube controllers and you can tell these aren’t those. That said, they are amazing knock offs when you consider how bad so many off-brand GameCube controllers are. Buttons aren’t sticky and the stick isn’t tight compared to other knock offs like the one I bought at GameStop. If you can’t afford the $35-$50 for the real deal; getting two of these for such a low price isn’t too shabby. ... show more

I have not tested the controllers yet and will edit my review after doing so. The reason it is two stars currently is because the color of the purple controller does not match the image provided. I specifically was trying to get a dark blue controller like in my childhood, and chose this because it appeared to be dark blue wheras the other option was a light blue which didn't match the color. There is nothing inherently wrong with a purple controller actually being purple, but the advertising image does not reflect the final product like it should. If possible I would like to have a dark blue controller instead. Edit: Controllers worked very well, buttons a bit sticky at first, just mash everything and it's good. No need to drop your controller like some guy here did. ... show more
