If you like having small and infrequent cups of coffee, this is the maker for you, it takes up less than half the space of a pot maker, and because you're making only one cup at a time, is generally faster for getting that caffine fix. I've had mine for like 4 years now and I barely need to clean it, and when I do it's an easy wipe down of the cup rubber.

Basic coffee pod brewer

I bought this as a backup for my name brand coffee pod brewer. It does a pretty good job with regular coffee. However, it doesn't seem to have the power for the cappuccino or the hot cocoa pods. Best to let it get you hot water and just peel open the pod and dump for those. Also, and I think it says this but I didn't notice when I purchased it, it cannot do a big cup of coffee. I'm guessing maybe 10 oz tops, even if you put more in, it just shuts off after so much and you have to run it again. I think it's worth the price, it's simple to use and you get good hot coffee from it. 4 stars only because of the cappuccino and cocoa pod issues.

Exactly what I needed!

My first single cup coffee maker lasted about a year before giving up the ghost, replaced it with another one that was not good from the git go so after a week I ordered this one, hoping that it was going to be better. This is exactly what I was hoping for, no mess, quiet, excellent tasting coffee always a full hot cup. So glad I found this one, back to looking forward to that first cup early every morning. Dangerous machine

Terrible coffee-maker. Not intuitive, dangerous, hard to clean. In order to fill, you fill your mug with water for the amount of coffee you'll want and dump it in the reservoir, which isn't separate from where you put the coffee. Therefore, if you miss the small space and spill, it'll spill into the kcup space. If you turn the coffee maker on prior to readying your coffee (like every coffee make in the world) it immediately starts dispensing and blows steam everywhere and ruins the coffee. There is no fail-safe for the machine to know the lid is lifted. As soon as you hit the "on" button, the machine tries to brew, hence the steam and ruined coffee. Just a failure of a coffee maker on all levels.

Good enough

It took about 15 uses to get the burnt rubber smell out of the machine. The piece that pierces the pod keeps falling off - the plastic is bent. Aside from those two things it makes a pretty good cup of coffee. I would not buy it again though.

So, glad I went with this machine! Works great so far and works with every k cup I've tried. Very easy to clean so far and was 100 dollars cheaper than the one I was considering before I saw this one. I may upgrade to a more expensive machine eventually, but this thing is making trying different coffee flavors (k pods) very fun!

Great for beach condo trip

Love our k-cups and the condo we rented only had a regular coffee maker. Knew this in advance, so gave this BC a try. It was perfect! Only issue is you need to pay attention when you pour water in; it’s easy to miss and you can get some spillage.
