I’m a very artistic person. In my free time, I love to paint, and have several acrylic paints, canvases, and brushes at home. However, I’ve been meaning to order some paint pens for decorating rocks. I ordered this set since the price seemed reasonable (and on the cheaper side) as a “tester” set. Last weekend, I got to use it with two kids and it was fairly easy to use. We didn’t get a chance to use all of the pens, but the black pen was defected after one use. Not sure if it was already like that, or it became like that after one of the kids used it. Artist here. I depend on paint markers for my work and unfortunately their quality can often be subpar. For the price these are great. The 36 pack doesn't disappoint, it has an unusual amount of pinks and oranges, blue/greys; definitely not your average selection of colors. The colors are VIBRANT, the pastels are also very nice. This pack has a great light yellow and hot pink, both difficult to find usually and rarely are they good when you do. Worth trying out. The price is right on this set, you get a lot of colors for a bargain. The natural color collection has beautiful colors that are perfect for drawing people, flowers, plants, furniture, landscapes, etc. I also use my acrylic paint pens to fix scratches and worn spots on all sorts of other items. It works wonders. The only downfall I have found with this set is the nice tiny point lets out wayyy too much paint. You have to be so light handed the pen if you are trying to draw something. I can't speak to how it works on decorating glass and rocks and stuff cuz I just don't do that. Very fun to have in my art supply! If you are a more experienced artist or are looking for a high quality product to create a serious drawing or painting to sell or for a college assignment I would recommend finding something that is higher quality. ... show more

Loved these colors and worked really well for painting rocks. Unfortunately my kids thought the lids were twist off instead of pop off. Problem is that if you twist, the whole pen dissembles and paint dumps out. Ended up with a huge mess before I realized what was going on. If you use these, just be sure your kids know to pop the lid off instead of twist. ... show more

These work well for painting. The only thing I don't like is the tip screws off. It must have been loose and I didn't realize it so when I pulled the lid off paint went everywhere.
