These are nice paint pens and easy to use for rock painting. I thought though that the pens would have a finer point on them. They do not work well for writing words which needs a finer point.

My grandchildren are spending time hiking in the nearby mountains, nearly everyday. They are age 8 and 11. They are using the pens to paint rocks. They leave the rocks on the trail to share with other hikers. They truly enjoy painting the rivers rocks. The product is great and easy to use. The colors are vibrant. Very Smooth Flow as I used them. The paint dried very quickly. There was a lot of paint in the pens, only one pen ran out of paint for my project.

Overall the first time I used them they were great! The paint came out beautifully and it didn't take long to start coming. After my first use I started layering the paint, (waiting till it was completely dry to paint over it) the second coat started to peal off the first coat. After my second usage my pen ran out of paint, I had only used that particular color maybe three times and it wasn't that big of a usage. I would say that they are great for a one time painting on paper but nothing more than that if your looking to get complex. ... show more
