My wife and I wanted to get a break from the brutal summer temperatures in Arizona but didn't want to have a pool built for $50K, so we rented the Bestway 9 x 18 foot pool last summer. It fit perfectly in our backyard and kept us cool all summer. So we decided to buy one of our own and did at the end of the summer, storing the pool in our shed until summer. (Note: I made sure and register the warranty once I inventoried all the parts.) I assembled the pool in a few hours (placed on pavers over a heavy duty tarp) by myself and filled it the same day. (I did do prep work a few days ahead and figured out all the attachments and the pump/filter.) It is exactly the same as the one we rented so I'm already familiar with how it operates. Well, nothing ever goes as smoothly as you would like and this was no exception. When I started up the pump I discovered that the seal around the top of the filter selector valve (backwash, rinse, drain, run, etc.) was leaking. I tried tightening the screws which didn't help. So I went online to the Bestway website, logged in and created a warranty claim, describing the problem and uploading the requested photos and information. I received a reply the next day acknowledging the warranty claim and then the day after that got an email approving my claim and two days later had the new valve! Amazing service! So far it was better than I expected. #1 the pool arrived two days earlier than expected. #2. The set up was easy, but I suggest having a second hand. It helps! #3 we took measurement but it seems much bigger. It fits perfectly on the patio area we selected, but will be much deeper than we planned for (no complaints there) just gotta be watchful of the little one :) #4 the instructions could have been clearer, but they are not too difficult to figure out. If you are use to step by step description, you won’t have it so be prepared. #5 we read several reviews about the pump not being large enough and are prepared to purchase a bigger one. Right now it seems to work fine but it’s only the first week. We will definitely keep a eye out. Overall, this is a perfect purchase for a outdoor pool. I’m glad we decided to buy. Cheers to a cooler summer!!!! ***You will need to purchase a larger pump!! We purchased the Intex Krystal Clear SX1500 for the 18 x9x 48 pool. It’s perfect! Bought this to replace a same size (18'x9'x48") Coleman above ground that finally gave up after 6 years. The top supports on the old pool wore through. We loved the old one. This one is nearly identical and gives almost all you want in a good size above ground pool. This one went on the same prepared surface, compacted clay with 2" pavers set into it and leveled. Two of us put it up in about an hour. Took some maneuvering to get it set just right up against the deck build for the last one. Biggest issues were with the plumbing. The instructions in the box don't tell or show much about what goes where. Could be way better. The 2 inlet hoses leading to the pump leak at the T connection. Ended up putting on hose clamps. Don't like how the pipes hang down either. Plan to put together some kind of mechanism to support that connection. Second problem is there is no shut off valve on the inlet side to allow changing the filter in the pump. Came with a couple of plugs that you can put in the holes inside the pool. The pool comes with one shut off valve. A second one would be much more convenient. Fortunately, I have one from the previous pool. I also have a surface skimmer from the previous pool too but there's no way to connect it because the plumbing configuration of this pool is different. I looked for one for this pool on the Bestway site and on Amazon but didn't see one. Have to figure out how to make mine work. Mean time going to spend much more time manually skimming the top water. I also have a automatic pool bottom cleaner and the outflow pressure of the pump that comes with the pool is too weak to push it around. Fortunately again, I purchased a 2500 gph pump for the previous pool and was able to use the adaptors and connections on this one. I'm very happy with this pool otherwise, and give it a 4.5 out of 5. ... show more

Pool is great, just make sure you level the ground before installation. We’ve really enjoyed it this summer. Debating whether to take it down fully for the winter or just use the cover 🤷🏽♂️

    • Happy with the pool, but motor stopped working

I love the pool but the motor starting shutting off and now it stopped. We had the pool up for only 2 weeks. I have tried to communicate this to the seller on several occasions with no luck.

This pictures where taken less than 2 years of purchase, but the pool becomes a hazard within a year, at the end the pool was dismantled to avoid personal injuries. Material, construction and design all are faulty and create a dangerous combination, even if you decide you want to replace the broken pieces you will find yourself looking at hours of chasing their customer service, out of stock parts for months and not clear way to replace them. They make it particularly difficult so the “only option” becomes buying a whole new pool, This product is disposable and should be labeled like that. Our pool arrived within 14 days after we ordered it (Bestway 18 x 9 x 48". This was acceptable but the tracking info was inaccurate, but the pool arrived. It was easy to set up with my son-in-law, and I was very happy with the thickness of the liner and the powder coating on the metal supports. Another problem was that it was advertised with a sand filter but it came with a cartridge filter. The pool has adequate filtration with the cartridge filter. All in all, I am very happy with my purchase. The vender, Humble Winged Unicorn, sent the product out almost immediately but the delivery company took time. I give this pool a 5 thumbs up, happy with the product and the service. ... show more

Best pool to just lounge around in an float! Very durable an again easiest to put together!! Filter motor not the greastest power but its okay? But i would Definitely recommend !!
