We’ve had it hooked up for less than 24 hours and our pool is already looking so much clearer. In my photos, the first is trying to take a picture of the new vacuum we also just got. As you can see, you can barely see it just under the water. Second picture was taken this morning. So so much clearer. It doesn’t appear to have a timer on it so if you only want it to run for a certain amount of time, you’ll have to turn it on/off manually. But it’s very quiet which is nice. It was fairly easy to put together. I found a Bestway video on YouTube that showed step by step instructions so that was very helpful. Sand is purchased separately and that was $20 at my local Ace Hardware. I’ll also add that it didn’t come with an out port. I had to use the one previously installed from our last pump. So make sure you keep that handy. Otherwise it seems to work great so far. Very happy with the purchase and value.

Just arrived today and husband installed it immediately, 5 hours later the filter and pump are still working great. Its filtered the pool wonderfully and working fine so far. No leaks and easy set up! If the pumps starts showing problems I’ll update the review but so far working perfect better than expected.

Very powerful sand pump. The instructions were difficult to understand and should have more clarity and in larger print. We have had it for over a week and the pool water is very clear, haven’t needed to add any chemicals yet. It does not have a timer which was disappointing because the pump that came with the Bestway pool had a timer on the cord where the off and on switch is. I first ordered the intex pump but the connections would not fit this pool. The intex sand pump had a nice timer and was a whole lot less expensive. I think Bestway needs to add a timer for this price range compared to other pools.

**Product Review: Bestway Flowclear 2200 Gallon Sand Filter Pool Pump** Rating: ★☆☆☆☆ (1/5) I recently purchased the Bestway Flowclear 2200 Gallon Sand Filter Pool Pump, hoping to enhance the efficiency of my pool maintenance routine. Unfortunately, my experience with this product has been incredibly disappointing. Upon receiving the pump, I was impressed by its sturdy build and clear instructions. Setting it up was straightforward, and I followed every step meticulously, double-checking all connections and settings. The pump worked perfectly in backwash, clean, and recirculate modes, so I was optimistic about its performance in filter mode. However, this is where the trouble began. Despite everything appearing to be in order, the pump failed to create suction when set to filter mode. I double-checked the setup, ensured there were no blockages, and even consulted the troubleshooting guide, but to no avail. The pump simply would not filter the water. The fact that the pump functions well in other modes but not in filter mode is a major letdown. Filtering is, after all, the primary function of a sand filter pump, and without it working correctly, the entire purpose of the pump is undermined. The inconvenience of having a non-functioning filter mode is significant, particularly during the peak pool season. I reached out to customer support for assistance, but the resolution process has been slow and unhelpful so far. It’s frustrating to deal with a product that doesn’t perform as expected, especially when you’ve followed all the instructions and invested time and effort into its setup. In summary, the Bestways Flow clear 2200 Gallon Sand Filter Pool Pump fell short of expectations. While it might work well for other modes, its failure to filter properly renders it ineffective for its primary purpose. If you’re looking for a reliable sand filter pump, I would recommend considering other options.
