Bestway is quality stuff. I bought an above ground pool 3 years ago and the original pump has been chooching 8 hours a day for the whole time. I broke the basket cap and needed new hoses (using Pliers, my fault) and it was cheaper to just buy a new pump/filter/hose setup than to just replace the parts. Original filter was great but this one is a definite upgrade (holds more sand). Pump is unstoppable but assuming it dies, I now have a backup pump. Inexpensive stuff that works great! I love it.

I love this pump! Works super well for our 5k gallon above ground pool. It is a little high powered, but is so great at circulating the water. I have had no algea issues this year. When we used the pool with the original pump it would turn green so fast and water wasn't circulating at all. Even though this was on the pricey end I am so glad we invested in it for the summer!!!!

The new filter and pump are great. We really love the ease of use and convenience. We watched a video so the instructions were easier to follow. Our pool is sparkling clean. Our chemicals work better. Great choice for us. Our pool is almost 10,000 gallons, above ground, soft side pool.

We’ve had it hooked up for less than 24 hours and our pool is already looking so much clearer. In my photos, the first is trying to take a picture of the new vacuum we also just got. As you can see, you can barely see it just under the water. Second picture was taken this morning. So so much clearer. It doesn’t appear to have a timer on it so if you only want it to run for a certain amount of time, you’ll have to turn it on/off manually. But it’s very quiet which is nice. It was fairly easy to put together. I found a Bestway video on YouTube that showed step by step instructions so that was very helpful. Sand is purchased separately and that was $20 at my local Ace Hardware. I’ll also add that it didn’t come with an out port. I had to use the one previously installed from our last pump. So make sure you keep that handy. Otherwise it seems to work great so far. Very happy with the purchase and value.

I purchased the pump at the end of the swimming season 2 years ago. We set it up and it was working fine. It was at the end of the season so we only used it prob about 2 months. Then the next year we go to set it all back up, clean the pool ect and it doesn't come on. Thankfully I purchased the extra 3 year warranty (I always purchase the warranty with any of the bigger appliance purchases I make and this is why lol) anyway, it was actually still under the 1 year manufacturers warranty, as well as me having the extra three years. So I made a claim and they sent it right away. Was told to cut the plug to the old one and toss it. Still running strong. Way better pump then the ones that come with your pool. I'm definitely happy with. The purchase. Only giving it 4 stars because of the first one.

Bought this for my pool to upgrade what we had. Easy to follow instructions. It does not leak if you put all the seals on the right way. It is super durable. We live in a cold winter state so we did remove it and put in house for the winter.
