EDIT 07/03/2020 i tried my moms brush, and liked it a lot more, after having used this boar bristle for months. I have very thick hair, and the length of the plastic bristles are too short to reach my scalp, and too soft to massage. I have had a lot of scalp buildup since, and it turns the whole brush a dusty white (i do not have dandruff, and nothing can be visibly seen in my light colored hair). Anyways, my mom gifted me her probably $6 hairbrush to use and brushing time is even quicker and it feels soo satisfying. Maybe this boar is good for thin hair Love the full size brush, i have been using only a comb to brush my hair until now, combing time used to take me 40 mins, with this brush i finish in under 10. It is magic, i thought it was my shampoo but no.. i got the travel pack too, because it was only a dollar or two more than just the reg brush alone, and thought it would be cute to use on my daughter. The bristel per inch in the travel is a lot less than the full sized, dissapointing, it wont do as good as a job ... show more

I absolutely love this brush. Boar bristles are so nice for making my hair soft, and the added nylon bristles through help with the detangling. I also like that I can use this brush when my hair is wet. I haven't gotten to travel yet with the travel brush (thanks covid), but it's the exact size I want for travel. The small tool that comes with this product, for removing hair from the brush, is a game changer and one of my favorite things about this product too -- it helps fully remove the hair from the brush head without ripping out bristles, which is usually what happens when I try to remove the hair by hand. Plus, the metal wires on the tool are better for the brush than digging hair out with my fingers. The hand is a nice, sturdy piece of carved wood, and also -- the wood of the brush smells INCREDIBLE for the first week or two of owning it. I hope this brush last for years, but will be happy to buy another one just to experience the new brush smell again. ... show more

This is an amazing brush set, similar to a $170.00 brand name brush. If you're looking to let your hair grow out then I suggest this brush, it's sturdy enough to detangle yet soft enough to grasp your natural oils and distribute throughout the hair. The mix of nylon and boar bristles make it a great multi-tasking brush,a solid wood base and handle that would probably last a lifetime if you take care of it; good for daily maintenance, detangling and (no heat) hair styling. Although I never attempted to use heat with this brush I highly advise against it. This is my new favorite brush. If you're deciding whether not not you want to purchase this I suggest you do, it's a great product. The seller communicated well, I was missing a item in the set and I'm sure this was merely accidental, these things happen, I communicated with the seller calmely. I was very relieved that the seller assured me that they would make it right and replaced the item, the missing item came faster than I expected!! Not to mention this kit comes with a neat natural cloth bag and brush cleaning tool. So go for it what are you waiting for!!! It's a great buy. ... show more

Update: The company keeps trying to offer me money to take my review down!! I am appalled at the dishonesty of this company. Never buying from them again! I really WANTED to love this brush set. It was pretty, and it had the nylon pins, and the shorter bristles, just like I wanted. And the smaller size brush would have been so nice for traveling, but the brushes STUNK SO BAD that I couldn't stand to brush my hair with them. How to describe the odor..... Maybe wood polish, with some poorly preserved animal hide... I don't know, but it was awful! I scrubbed them twice with shampoo, and let them soak overnight in a vanilla extract and baking soda mixture, but to no avail. The odor was still awful! Would have been five stars without the awful smell! Too bad. ... show more

First let me say, where has this brush been my whole life? These really detangles my hair easily and gives it that extra shine. For me, both the wet brush and this are just equal, i use them both. I love boar bristle brushes. When I came across these brushes I knew I had to have them (is the baby brush just the cutest!). These brushes brush your hair so much better and gentler than a normal brush. It also makes your scalp feel so amazing. And with the small brush I can keep it in my purse and not have the brush take up half my purse!! Super cute, does the beat job, healthier for your hair and beat of all- bonus small brush!!
