I rated this pump 5 stars because it works like it is supposed to. However, for the novice hydraulic engineer it sounds like you can control the “RELEASE” precisely. You can not. When you push the release button it is full dump. I bought the pump for a hydraulic lift. Full dump means it slams down when you push release. You can not control the drop. Works well, used it to replace an OTC pump in an auto repair shop. We had quarter inch fittings that fit perfectly in this unit. I was concerned about the fluid because it looked different than the piston fluid. We didn't have a problem because we're not lifting very much. Transmissions are the heaviest. ... show more

    • Affordable and it works
Product worked exactly as advertised. I used it for a hydraulic jack system to lift a race car. It had more power and was easier to operate than the old one.

    • pedal works great, but the hose was garbage
the pump worked as described and I'm happy with the purchase, however the hose that came with it leaked badly and we could not get it to stop, despite all our efforts. Luckily we had our old hose, hooked it up, and no leaks.
