I couldn't justify getting the hydraulic log lift when we bought a little sawmill, but now I'm kind of missing it. I've been loading with the tractor forks, but it's not as controlled as I'd like. I've seen how the hydraulic ones work and have some handiness with tools, so...this power unit seems like a great place to start. It's the heart of the thing all in one place. 12v motor/pump/reservoir and controls. Plenty of mounting holes. I just need hoses and to come up with a couple of lift arms and I'll be ready to go. Probably go back and redesign a few times, but this unit takes care of most of the hard parts. 12v is the most convenient for power by the mill which keeps it simple. It doesn’t come with any instructions and the controller is in a foreign language. Once I figured it out and got it going it did ok for about 3 months and then the body of it cracked and bled all of the fluid out.

This self contained unit has adjustable pressure settings and it comes fully assembled including the 12 volt wired control. This is perfect for a replacement pump on dump trailers with power up and down and an 8 quart reservoir. Quickly extends and retracts fully loaded.
