The media could not be loaded. As you will learn in the video, it was missing 2 bolts to hold the gear assembly to the cross bar. I will also go out and buy lock washers because during use the bolts that hold the gear assembly loosened completely and threw the nut into a hive frame. Also after this first use, I had one of the knobs on the acrylic cover snap and almost cut me as it is cheap metal. Go buy real cabinet knobs to replace the chinsey, fragile, sharp metal when shattered knobs. Otherwise it performed as needed. ... show more

    • Flimsy legs but works well for extraction
The centrifuge works well. Does not fully drain the honey. I would suggest putting the drain valve at the lowest point of the container. The legs are flimsy. I secured it to a wooden stand and still had quite a bit of vibration when spinning the centrifuge. Overall, I am happy with the product for my hobbyist apiary ... show more

    • Not tall enough
I didn’t like that the gate to pour the honey out was not high enough to fit a 5gal. Bucket under the spout. The legs are not long enough. We and to add 4 inches under each leg to make it high enough to pour out the honey.

Have a few hives and extracted great with this item. Shallows fit side by side so could do 8 frames at a time. Nothing special but did the job!

Bought this for husband as an anniversary gift. He was so happy, with it. It does exactly as it is suppose too, with little effort. It's great and worth the money.

Works great! I would suggest securing the legs to a sturdy foundation to reduce fibration when turning.
