I bought this when we got kittens and it worked well at first but over time does not work as well. I still but it as regular applications do help our cats from ruining the furniture but initially it kept them well away. I supposed they have gotten used to it so I don't want to remove more than one star as it HAS saved our furniture. We have used it for about 2 years. It smells good, so I don't mind using it and have actually had compliments on the smell! I do think the formula changed a bit as I dont think it smells as good but I still use it and have actually used it as a room spray also. Because its natural ingredients I do not worry about us or the pets. It has a lemon, rosemary, citrus smell which as mentioned before is very pleasant. I have used sprays before that smell bad. Not this one. It is not sticky or greasy. A light gentle spray.

I’m not sure if it’s just my fur babies being extra determined, but this didn’t work as a deterrent for us. The smell is definitely strong — not the worst ever, but noticeable enough that I had high hopes it would do the trick. I mainly purchased this to keep my cats away from our Christmas tree. Unfortunately, even after spraying it, they decided the tree was still the perfect climbing post. It may work for some pets, but in our case, it didn’t make much of a difference.

Arrived quickly, no complaints on the company. Maybe other people have different experiences, but this did not work at all. I smells like ginger and gets the bitter liquid all over your hands, which is fine if it worked, but I tried it in three areas and my cat didn’t change behavior. For what it’s worth, I have two cats and they can both sit, stand, and even give me high five on command, all taught with positive reinforcement, and the other is super well behaved. So, I don’t say the following without some training skills— One was where my cat went to the bathroom on the floor, to which I sprayed everywhere and it didn’t stop him (set him up with a new litter box at the same time to help the transition, but no dice). Another area was for scratching, so I sprayed it on the side of my leather couch where he scratches. You’d think he would move to another area but he scratched as normal. The final area was in the closet where he sleeps and I don’t want him to, because sometimes there is clean clothes where he lies. He didn’t even care. Super relaxed and when he comes by me he just reeks of this bitter ginger. It’s more funny to me than anything, but as for the product? Well, I hope you have better luck than me. My cat didn’t even mind when I sprayed him with it, like in the commercial. And this is a cat that is scared by water or even the wind.

Flavor Name: 8oz No Mark!
I waited a bit to post anything. We used this on one area and another product on the other. Backstory we have 2 dogs and 2 cats. Cats have been super bad about marking. It works. Heres what I recommend. Thoroughly clean the area in question first. Get as much of that out as you can. Then apply the initial application pretty thoroughly. Then Id let that dry and come back and apply another light coat and every few days give it another one. Slowly you can do less but at first cover that scent up. We havent had any major accidents in the area we applied since but Ive also been watching the area more too. I think its been doing a good job and theres noticably less accidents and marking. If you get this I would definitely recommend a few applications to really get the past scent out. Thats just me though. It does have a slight scent but nothing too strong. Also note this is what I did. If you dont actually clean up the mess thoroughly and give a couple applications you might not have the same results but in my opinion it was well worth it.

We have eight cats. Eight...cats. Don't ask, life happens. Some of the younger cats, in their youthful feline exuberance, developed an affinity for going behind our sofa, getting INSIDE the sofa, and wreaking teen cat havoc with their claws and Kitty Wrestling matches. We safety pinned any possible entrances to the sofa, and then sprayed No More Scratching! Cat Deterrent Spray. Behind the sofa is now a 100% Cat Free Zone. The spray is easy to apply, smells strongly like citrus, but the smell dissipates quickly. This spray has provided us with a few "Cat No Go Zones', and doesn't harm the little beasties. If you need to alter some feline behavior, this is it.
