I thought I was going to have to send it back, but since I was in no hurry, I decided to wait it out. This gel memory foam mattress took 6 full days/nights to fully expand. There were a few small spots that still hadn't expanded completely but after placing the mattress inside of a mattress cover that zipped entirely around it, you really can't tell. I haven't checked to see if they ever expanded. It fits perfectly on my sofa bed that has a 60x72" mattress. The gel foam mattress has to be removed before folding the bed back into a couch again which is somewhat of a pain but it goes into a closet after rolling up and using bunji cords to contain it. I haven't slept on it myself but I have laid on it and it seems comfortable enough. Overall, I am very pleased with the added comfort it gives and won't hesitate to invite guests to sleep on it.

This mattress topper works great on a college bed! It is very comfortable and is a great deal for the price. There are definitely higher quality mattress toppers out there, but for our budget, this topper is perfect! It’s a great quality for the price and made the college dorm mattress perfectly comfortable. It unfolds and puffs out quickly and easily. It does have a bit of a smell to it, but it is not overly strong. I would recommend giving it some time to air out before making the bed. Overall, I am very happy with this purchase!

This topper is amazing! When you roll it pops right back up. You sink in in a good way. I have now bought 3 of them, 2 of them are 3 inch and 1 is 2 inch. I always tell people it is the best topper. I bought a different brand first and hated it. I put a mattress protector over it to be safe. For the most part it doesn't move on your mattress, but when I change my bedding I just move it a little if needed.

Shipment: Arrived in a small box, significantly lighter than expected, that was easily lifted one-handed. The product is in the box packed in a fairly tough plastic sleeve keeping the much thinner vacuum packed bag coiled. Unboxing: After removing the rolled-up topper from the box, I cut the outer sleeve (I recommend scissors, even a very sharp knife may clip the vacuum pack and make things harder), and opened the vacuum pack. The topper expanded instantly to full 2" thickness; quite surprising as these products usually take at least several hours. It was close to 120 F outside when this arrived (typical weather here in July), though, so that may have helped the product expand quickly. I recommend opening it quickly after arrival, but if your weather is cold, it may still take a few days in a warm room to fully expand. There is a light chemical smell, but nothing terribly bothersome. Give it a day or two in a well ventilated space to clear if you are sensitive to chemical smells or concerned about potential health effects. Product: This is a very lightweight memory foam, perhaps half the density of most similar products. Do not buy this if you need a heavy or thick sleep support. To cover some light lumps or "soften" a firm mattress, however, this works well. This is a low-cost lightweight elastomeric foam, so it is important to be reasonably careful moving it around to avoid tearing; it's not tissue, but it isn't Tempur density either. Important Note: The listed manufacturer, "Best Price Mattress" is not the manufacturer, they are an importer/reseller and even different thickness can be very different products from very different sources. The topper I received is manufactured in China by "Mellow", a commonly resold bulk manufacturer. The consequence of this is that quality and product character may vary quite a bit between shipments.

I was looking for additional support over and above my pillow top mattress. This pad provided just that. One of the challenges is that the 3” foam topper makes it very difficult to keep my sheets tucked in at the corners. I only use ‘deep pocket’ sheets and have to return them every morning. The other challenge we found is that we were getting very hot sleeping on it. I am usually very cold natured and it is even too warm for me. We have taken it off for the duration of the summer and will put it back on when it gets colder and see if we experience the same. All-in-all it is very comfortable.

I ordered the 4 inch Queen size topper. The actual measurement was 4" X 57" X 77". It does have a toxic smell, but it's like any new memory foam topper, you have to air it out preferrably outside to off gas the toxic fumes that new memory foam typically has. I tried to sleep on it the first night and I just couldn't, I guess the fumes were so strong that after abouy and hour my lungs started to hurt and I started feeling dizzy and got a massive migraine, so I left it in the room and slept on my living room sofa. The next day I decided I would take the topper outside and lay it out on a piece of painters plastic sheet to air it out and tried walking on it to get it to air out faster. I've read on mutiple websites stating that all new memory foam should be aired out 3-7 days so I don't know how long this one will take to air out, but it seems as though this thing will take at least that amount of time if not more. Obviously if you bought the thinner ones it would take less time. One tip that may help from getting cracks on the topper is when you take it out of the packaging don't unfold it right away like the directions show, let it expand on it's own then slowly and gently unfold. Also if you arw going to air it outside, you might as well open it outside and have your painters plastic ready to put it under the mattress to protect it from getting dirty.

I bought this in 2" and it was GREAT. I needed a thinner one for a cheap sofa sleeper mattress and purchased it in 1.5", which was perfect for use with a sofa sleeper mattress protector to marry the two products. I also purchased a sofa sleeper mattress pad to assist in the marriage of the two products and have had no problems opening or closing the sofa sleeper. The mattress is now VERY COMFORTABLE!!!
