I first tried a Serta memory foam mattress at a local discount home center to see if I would like this type of mattress. The Serta was soft when I sat on it, but was rather firm (hard) when I lay down on it. I prefer this, so I took the chance and bought this one on Amazon since it was less than half the price. Surprise! This one is MUCH softer, although still fairly supportive. It is like a soft pillow top mattress (see my picture of a cat's feet sinking in the surface). I do sink in some when I sleep (my weight = 165lb) and I wish it were a little harder, but it is comfortable to sleep on. I have rated it 5 stars, even though it is a bit soft, since I could not have otherwise come close to this comfort and quality for anywhere near this price. This is a bargain! Some people have complained about the smell. Yes, it has a mild smell for the first several days, but I don't find it is very obnoxious in character, and I was able to sleep on it the first night. Is it hot to sleep on? No matter what mattress I sleep on, I go to bed cold and wake up sweaty. This mattress is no worse than any other (I am using a mattress pad). When the mattress comes, it is compressed in a white plastic bag inside a floppy cardboard box (see pictures). Remove the mattress from the box immediately and move the mattress in this bag (by grabbing each end) and place onto the box springs or platform bed BEFORE further unwrapping (see picture). Do NOT cut the bag, rip the seam instead (see picture). Mine expanded to full size in under 10 min (see picture). Update 6/2/14 I was too quick to complain about the mattress being too soft. Now that it has had a few days to equilibrate, it had firmed up a bit. It is now as firm as the Serta mattress I tried, and I no longer have complaints about it being too soft.

Honestly amazing sleep. So sad it was too big for my ikea tonstad which was my fault for not reviewing but I guess they do that so you buy their mattress on purpose since they make it smaller than a standard full. Super comfortable and cooling. Even my cat refused to get off of the bed she loved it as well. If you have an ikea frame I recommend double checking the measurements I would have loved to keep this mattress.

Have had it for 3 days now. Was really shocked/impressed with how it came in such a small box for a mattress, but once I opened and unwrapped it, it instantly started inflating to it's normal size and I thought that was pretty cool. As far as comfortability goes I'd say it's just about up there with high end memory foam mattresses. I went around to places locally and tried expensive brands and this feels relatively the same as the others. Probably the pricier ones use better materials but really you're saving so much money for something that's so similar, the average consumer probably won't see a huge difference anyways. Definitely getting your moneys' worth with this. I'd recommend it to anyone looking for memory foam on a budget. There was a slight smell when I first opened it but it faded off within the first 48 hours, not a strong smell at all btw. The only problem I have with it is how it contracts body heat. I get hot easily so that might be why I've woken up hot on it but it's not really a big deal as long as the mattress itself is still comfortable, just something to think about if you get hot easily like me. I still would've bought it had I known that, there's ways around that so it doesn't change my 5 star rating. In the end, it's absolutely great for the price and I couldn't find anything even close to this for the price anywhere locally so I'm glad I was able to find this.

Firstly, I’d truly give this 3.5 stars if I could but rounded up in hindsight of price and my use. Below, I’ve written a Summary and full review for the two different types of review readers: *** Summary (TL;DR) *** Would be a good short-term or guest room option. Product’s quality loss accelerates after short-term/frequent use. *** Full Review *** I don’t know if it says I’m a verified purchaser but I bought this mattress back in 2016. It seemed like a good bang for the buck and, being 19yrs old, I didn’t care about (or have) back pain or anything like that. I enjoyed the mattress when I first got it. Easy to set up and I let it chill for 24 hrs after unboxing. It was very comfy and I loved it. After less than a year I felt slight body impressions and thought I might be hysterical because it was so so soooo slight. 3 and a half years later this mattress is in need of replacement. It will be going into the guest bedroom. The body impressions from me (6’3” 180lbs) and girlfriend (5’4” 130lbs) is pretty bad. You could almost chalk the body imprints in the mattress like a crime scene. It sleeps very hot now and changing any sort of sleep position is like rolling around in a pit of mud. It was great while it lasted (1 and a half solid years before its deterioration started escalating) but I guess I shouldn’t hold such a high standard on a $250 mattress. Buy Elsewhere if you or your significant other are already or are prone to experiencing back/joint pain and/or are a hot sleeper/s. Buy elsewhere if you plan on having the mattress last at least 5 years. Buy elsewhere if you don’t like the Deep sinking feeling. And finally, buy elsewhere if you or your Partner sleep in the various “main” positions and/or move around a lot in your sleep. If you’re looking for a guest room mattress that won’t see constant and consistent use, I actually think this is a good option. It’s inexpensive and comfortable until frequent weight and body heat start taking its toll. Also, other reviewers saying this mattress is “medium” must’ve slept on pudding or a beanbag prior to owning this product. It may start off as “medium” but it DEFINITELY becomes plush after some solid use. This purchase has proven to me that you can buy on a budget for a lot of things, but you shouldn’t budget on your personal mattress.

I first purchased TempurPedic mattresses over 20 years ago and have been an advocate of TempurPedic ever since. Our TempurPedic mattresses feel the same all these years later as they did when I first purchased them, so not only does memory foam provide healthier sleep support than traditional mattresses with box springs, in my experience, it has lasted longer. My son has been sleeping on a TempurPedic since he was 3 years old. He's now 19 and needed a larger bed than the single twin TempurPedic he's grown up with. However, the cost of TempurPedic has increased considerably, which is what made me look into the competition. After a couple of months of reading reviews and studying the product descriptions, I decided on this memory foam mattress as it met the criteria for a good choice at far less the cost of a TempurPedic. It made me feel a little sad to go with something other than a TempurPedic, but so far, it's proven to be a good choice. We removed it from the box and within 1 hour, it expanded to 10 inches. There was no offensive odor. It is soft, yet supportive and my son says he's sleeping just as comfortably and soundly. Now comes the test of how long it will last.

We purchased our 2 mattresses almost two years ago. We have 2 full size mattresses which we push together to make one large bed, (which works for us for based on the size of our room). Both of us love these mattresses, and both myself and hubby have had various surgeries, so we needed good support. These mattesses are better than expected.........they are off the scale comfortable, no sagging, no noise from the mattress or frame (we bought the frames also), and better than any super expensive mattress out there. After 2 years of enjoying them they are just as comfy as the day we first bought them. Just give them about 2 days to fully fluff up and expand. We have no regrets, and the quality is fantastic. You will definitely sleep better! I never would believe a "bed in a bag" would be this comfortable. Honestly, just buy it! No regrets here.

So let me start off by stating that I've been sleeping on a $40 air bed for the past 11 months. *PACKAGING After some initial frustration with shipping, my mattress finally arrived today! The box was large, and a hefty 60lbs. The box's large size makes it a little hard to handle at that weight. If you have hardwood flooring like I do, you might find it easier to place a towel or something cloth under the box to help it slide better. Both the box, and mattress were extremely easy to open. The mattress comes in a canvas-like drawstring bag that you just tear open (as the instructions will tell you). I highly suggest that you have the mattress close by the box spring / platform that you will be laying it on, because when you tear that canvas bag open, it starts expanding, QUICK! Just remember - zipper-side is the bottom. *SMELL I detected very little if any smell coming from the mattress after opening. I noticed that a lot of people complained of an overwhelmingly strong chemically smell that meant letting the mattress air out for hours/days before sleeping on it. No such problem here! It does have a "new" smell, as in fresh-from-the-factory if that makes sense. It's not overwhelming at all, and goes away within a few minutes. *EXPANSION I was planning on opening up the mattress just before going to work to give it plenty of time to expand, as I've read in the instructions to leave it for several hours so it can reach it's full size. Well, within ten minutes of being opened it was already fully expanded to it's advertised 10 inches. No problems here. *COMFORTABILITYNESS! Maybe my opinion is a little biased due to the fact that I've been sleeping on an air bed for the past 11 months, but this mattress is the most amazing thing I have ever slept on. You will probably read a few reviews on here, and commonly see "not too hard, not too soft, just right!" and you're probably a little frustrated at that. I think a lot of people have different ideas of "soft", and "hard" so for me to tell you which of the two it is would be useless. The mattress is insanely comfortable to me. I prefer a softer mattress over a firmer one, and this one is just enough of both worlds (see what I mean?). I would also like to note that this memory foam springs back pretty quickly, so don't worry about leaving a crater in the mattress when you roll over onto your side in the middle of the night. *SHIPPING I purchased this directly from Amazon, and was a little disheartened to hear that it wasn't arriving on it's scheduled date. Despite the fact that I had received a "your item has shipped!" confirmation email the furthest it ever got in the shipping facility was "shipping label has been created". I contacted Amazon about this via chat, and they apologized profusely for the delay. I wasn't told much other than there was an issue in the carrier facility that delayed the delivery of my item. Amazon being the awesome chaps they are over-nighted me another mattress, and I had it the very next morning! Pretty awesome! *UPDATE 11/9 After sleeping on this bed for several nights I felt like I should update my review. The bed has firmed up a little bit since day one when I opened it. So if you're a little uneasy about it feeling too soft/squishy at first just give it a few days. The bed is still amazingly comfortable to me. I purchased some Mezzati Luxury Bed Sheets to go with the mattress. These sheets are superb. I wasn't about to buy a brand new bed, and skimp on the sheets - they are just as important! The combo of microfiber + the memory foam is a little on the warm side, but it's getting chilly outside so no complaints about that.

I recently purchased a pre owned RV and was not about to sleep on the old mattress that came with it. I looked at options for RV mattress and found out real quick that anything that has RV on the label will cost more than it should. So I turned to Amazon and found this one that not only had great reviews, it was an excellent price. This mattress was purchased to replace the one in the master bedroom in our 32 foot forest river Cherokee trailer RV. I did measure the base for the mattress and this one matched up perfectly. I was a bit concerned about how well it would do with the way the bed lifts up, bending the mattress in the middle for access to storage space, but it did great. When the mattress arrived it was folded in half , rolled up, and compressed in a box. It was a bit heavy, but with help I moved it onto the base of the bed and opened the box. I found that the mattress was contained in a plastic bag and once that was removed it began to take shape. I unrolled it and within minutes it was full and there was not evidence of it being compressed and folded. The foam mattress is covered with a durable permanent cover that I could have just put a sheet over, but I went ahead and purchased a mattress cover to keep it nice. The mattress is quite comfortable for both me and my husband. I weigh 155 pounds felt like it supported my weight well. The only problem I have found is how warm the memory foam gets, it is a known drawback to memory foam, so I knew what I was getting into buying it. I have read that adding a wool topper will help with slowing the heat transfer and keep it cooler. I liked it so much that I bought my daughter one for her camper too and she loves it just as much as I do.
