This foam topper is very comfortable. It also does not seem to make me overheat which I have a problem with. I have shoulder and back/hip issues and my wife has shoulder issues and this is made those problems almost totally go away while sleeping. She would wake up with her hands asleep . Not anymore . This is the best thing I've ever spent money on. I'm a side sleeper. I broke my shoulder and have had to sleep flat on my back for quite some time. I just couldn't because my back hurt. I ordered this hoping it would help. When I opened it I was initially disappointed. It wasn't a king size (it looked like a queen) and it had bumps and divots all over it. Within 15 minutes it was completely fluffed up. It fits my bed PERFECTLY and when I say this thing is squishy I mean SQUISHY. I sleep all night on my back with no discomfort. I was worried when I opened the package because there’s a very strong chemical smell. I left it out and by the windows for 48+ hours and the smell went away completely. I was also wondering if I should have gotten the thicker option as I only got the 1.5 inch, it didn’t seem very thick and it seemed to “squish” too easily- but after sleeping on it for several days I am more than happy with the purchase! It’s extremely comfortable, not too soft, doesn’t sink too much, makes me love getting into bed and don’t wanna get out. I’ve definitely slept better since having it. Well worth the price. We have had out mattress for a little over 15 years and it's a 20-year mattress. It started to sag a little and we were having a little bit of back pain. After looking at a bunch of toppers we decided to go with this one. After having it for a few weeks my back pain is gone and I'm finally able to sleep at night. My wife is a side sleeper and she loves it. The only complaint that my wife has is that our mattress is already thick and with the added 4 inches it has been hard finding a sheet that fits it. Right now she has a mattress protector on the mattress and another one on the pad and one huge sheet that only covers the pad. The pad is a little bit on the hot side but that is ok since we are normally sleeping with a heater or an ac on. We just adjust. ... show more

I went for as thick of a topper as I could possibly find/afford. Our backs have been killing us, and we figured our old mattress probably isn't helping. This 4 inch topper was one of the most reasonably priced compared to other brands. I haven't really noticed a "cooling" effect. I still wake up hot and toss my blanket off like I usually do. So nothing groundbreaking in that department. It's very plush. I can't even feel my mattress below it. The thing to take into consideration is if your mattress droops in the middle a bit, just as an example, this won't fix that. Because you kind of sink into the foam, it's a bit harder to move your body into another position. I'm a side sleeper, and my old mattress hurt the sides of my lower back and hips. I just can't make myself sleep any other way. I'm not entirely without pain, because I still have to go through life after all, but I do feel less stiff getting out of bed. It's more of a comfort to get into my bed at night now and take some of the tension off the aching parts of my body. I still get a bit sore if I lay on one side for too long, but I would say the pain has still lessened. I can switch to the other side to give one a break and not feel like I'm choosing the lesser of two evils. It's a definite improvement to our sleeping situation. ... show more
