Definitely need two people to put together also TIP for putting it together when you get to the black mesh part use ZIP TIES to temporarily secure it in place then begin using the rope to tie it around that way you’re not trying to hold the mesh part and tie it to the poles.

I love this product! I purchased this to put at my river property to have outdoor lounging. It didn’t make it that far, so now I have to purchase another one! Tips from start to finish- once I opened the box and separated all of the parts, I had to get someone to help put this chair together. It is not a one person project due to the weight and leverage of holding pieces in place to connect them. Once it is put together it is hard to move around without unattaching the seat from the stand, so make sure you are close to the final staging area. This chair is very comfortable and my new favorite lounging place. I highly recommend this!!

Assembly was fairly straight forward. Weaving the rope was a bit of a hassle, but not too bad. I added a yoga handle as Travis S. suggested in his review. A very good idea. I ordered a yoga handle and strong carabiner and it was easy to add. The safety factor it provides is worth the extra effort and expense. If it came with the handle I would have rated it 5 stars.

The directions tell you it takes 2 people and 1 hour to assemble. I tried to do it on my own and gave up after 2 hours. I finally got help and it assembled easily. It’s unwieldy and a little heavy for one person. It’s comfortable but takes some used to getting in and out of it.

I purchased two of these chairs. The good news first... they arrived promptly and were relatively easy to assemble. They are also very comfortable. One small improvement that I made - I used a bungee cord to tie the chair down to the base. This doesn't affect it at all when you are sitting on it but it keeps the chair from blowing in the wind. A minor point - the seat can take a while to dry as the part that goes under your butt is the lowest part and water puddles there. You can deal with this by putting something under the cushion when it is wet and you want it to dry faster. Now the bad part... and this is really unfortunate and may cause me to return the chairs. They rust. The metal parts are powder coated but nearly every part has at least one location (a chip, an edge that was poorly coated, a weld that wasn't coated, etc) that has rusted. And this is after having the chairs outside for only 3 weeks. I will see what the company's response is then I'll decide if these are going back or whether there is another alternative to make this right. Very disappointing as we loved the chairs. ---------------> Just contacted Best Choice products The woman who I spoke with was very polite, but said that since I purchased it from Amazon she could not help me. She suggested that I contact Amazon. I will... more to come... ---------------> The saga continues... I received replacements from Amazon. However unlike if I had purchased it from Best Choice, Amazon wants the rusty 70lbs chairs back. So I assembled the new chairs and packed the old ones back into the new boxes. Those are awaiting pickup. As for the new chairs... well, they were already showing some signs of rusting out of the box. Basically the inside of the pipes are not rust treated. The edges of the pipes have areas where there is no paint so they are ready to rust. Plus there are chips in the painted finish. It may prove to be a mistake, but I decided to try to enhance the chairs myself. I sprayed a clear coat of rustoleum on the painted finish. I sprayed depend inside the tubes. I sealed areas where water was prone to leak into the metal tubes. Lets see what happens.... -----------------> Another update... a couple of months later My rust proofing seems to have worked - knock on wood. I would recommend to anyone that they sprayed a clear coat of something like Rustoleum on these chairs. I also sprayed a bit inside the tubes and in the area where the tubes assembled. I also noticed that some of the pipe joints are designed poorly - water flowing down hill will flow INTO the joint and pipe instead of encouraged to stay out of it. I used clear caulk on those joints. Another issue... When it rains the cushions get SOAKED and take a long time to dry. A heavy application of waterproofing spray helps this. Also, the sling should NOT be waterproof. As it is water gets on the sling and stays between the cushion and the sling instead of dripping dry and allowing the cushion to dry from the underneath. ALL OF THIS SAID.... This is still my favorite outdoor chair to sit in. It is just a shame that with a little more attention to detail on the design and little or no cost, it could have been absolutely awesome.

I love it. I put one together then sat it and immediately ordered a second one. It’s so comfortable. So it has the stretched canvas underneath which is nice. Then you couple that with the fact that you’re floating and swaying. Now I’m afraid I’ll fall asleep in the sun. Haha When I opened the box I was immediately impressed by how heavy duty all the pieces are. It went together fairly quickly and I felt no hesitation just getting right on it. I think it took me the time to thread the rope but that’s only because I did it twice. The second time I started in the center of the top and made each side symmetrical. I immediately ordered the second one because you can’t beat that price for what I got. You can’t even buy a regular lounger for that price. I highly recommend this

I’ve wanted a lounge chair, but I wanted a hammock too. This checked both boxes. Assembly to a lot longer than I expected and you will want to have a second set of hands. The frame is heavy and it can get difficult trying to put it together by yourself. I ended up having to YouTube some of the assembly because the directions were not clear to me. Overall I’m very happy with this chair.
