We really like our chairs! They look nice and feel sturdy. They are pretty comfortable considering they are metal (and you could add seat cushions). With two people they are pretty easy to put together, but it was somewhat of a struggle alone - the tops of the chairs have to be pulled open to be screwed onto the base, which really needs two people. It does appear that the paint scratches relatively easy if scraped with metal (I accidentally scraped a couple areas when trying to put them together alone). However overall I think for the price it’s an excellent purchase and I’m very happy!

One thing I saw in the reviews that was consistent, the color/finish on the wooden seats of these chairs was different in every review with pics, I saw all sorts of hues in the reviews. So we weren’t sure what they would look like. The brown is the original color they came in. Just a plain brown paint, but they are real wood. So we sanded with 120 grit. Cleaned well. Then used two coats of minwax dark walnut 2716 (about 1-2 hours btwn coats) That dried overnight. Then one coat of polyurethane. And this is the finished look. We are very pleased with how they came out and the overall quality of the chairs. They are light weight despite the wooden seat. The legs have caps on the ends, so they move across tile floor easily. And they match our refinished kitchen table perfectly. Wooden table was refinished with basically the same method as wooden seats. The table is pine and we are unsure of the exact wood of the seats, but it is not particle board, pressed wood, or plywood. Each seat is a solid piece of unknown wood….maybe pin oak…? Overall we are satisfied with the chairs. Only wish they were stained, not painted a solid color.

Great price for good quality, easy to assemble, sturdy chairs that work well for smaller living spaces. Really what else can you ask for? Definitely recommend if you have similar needs/criteria.

The media could not be loaded. My product came damaged. There are two seats with cracks in the wood. I’m a little disappointed with the wood seats, I feel they don’t look anything like the pictures and you can hardly see the wood grain due to the paint they used. The metal part of the chair I feel like isn’t the color bronze I was hoping for. I don’t have the time or energy to return these so for future reference I probably wouldn’t go with the wood padding. Not to mention that I paid an extra $40 dollars for shipping, so I would expect my product not to be damaged.
