First the good stuff. As other reviewer's have stated, this hammock is extremely simple to put together, very sturdy and well-built, and pretty comfortable. The four-legged design loses a little bit of comfort over a traditional hammock, but it is more than made up for by the ease in getting in and out of the hammock. As another reviewer stated, this is particularly helpful for those who are middle-aged or older. Based on all this, it would be a five star product, except… This hammock absorbs water like a sponge. I am actually surprised that no one else has mentioned this, but perhaps their hammock hasn't been out in the rain yet. I live in Albuquerque, where rain showers are few and far between, and people can leave out their outdoor furniture with cushions and pillows and have no problems. A few days after we got the hammock, we had a short storm. We didn't think anything of it because things dry out so fast here after a rain. Much to my husband's surprise, his shorts were soaked after he laid down in the hammock the next day and we realized that the low point of the hammock had accumulated the water from the rain. It took two days to dry out, even in our super low humidity, due to the highly absorbent filling. I can't imagine how long it would take to dry out in more humid parts of the country. It rained again yesterday for a little while and the hammock is waterlogged again.

I can't believe I tried to cancel this order, but I thought it might not fit on my balcony. I'm so glad it was already shipped and I couldn't cancel, because it does fit just fine, and it's wonderful. I absolutely love it! And yes, the shipping was really fast.I put this together in less than 20 minutes and that was taking my time. Great simple design. I like that it has the rods & 2 chains for support rather than just one hanging hook, as it 's way more stable and much easier to get in and out of than most hammocks. Again, great design. It's my go to spot, I've even slept out on it. It's that comfortable. After having it for more than 6 months, I still love it, but it does have a problem with rain. I take mine down when I know a storm's coming. It takes literally less than a minute and won't be wet for 2 days, I'm planning on replacing the bed with my own summer rainy season version, but haven't figured out the proper fabric yet. I need quick drying but sturdy enough to not rip at the seams. Once I figure that out, I'll make a new one. Also, they raised the price on this a lot since I got it in January (2017). It was $80.00 back then. Update: July 2017. Great. I see they lowered the price back to $80. Well worth it. The bed of this is 32" X 78" with about 76" of that length usable. Slide the magazine pocket on before assembly, and turn it so you can reach it from inside. Also a good idea to place it by your head rather than feet. I may take mine apart to do that, so I can be extra lazy. This is a great hammock for people with balance issues, as it has almost no sway. I love mine.

Dislike! When the cloth hammock ages and tears, the company does NOT sell hammocks. They informed me I needed to purchase another SET - the frame and hammock. I recommend you consider purchasing a different style of hammock where you can easily buy a replacement hammock. Unless you want to pay $100 every few years and throw away a good stand. Likes: sturdy, comfortable, easy to move. Just disappointed in myself for not researching this company more and learning there are no replacement parts except during the initial 60 day warranty.

So far this year this item is of my favorite purchases. I read the reviews and determined this was exactly what I was needed for my screened-in porch. I also purchased an air mattress for a little more cushion. Lastly I read of the biggest flaw...it holds water when it gets wet. It would definitely get wet on my porch. Initially I bought a tarp as a cover. That turned into a mess. I tossed the tarp to the side and looked for another form of protection. I found a large, thermal, waterproof blanket. I don’t need the blanket as a covering for myself because it’s summer. Right now I use it to protect the hammock when it rains. If you buy the blanket for this purpose put something in the middle so the rain will run off and not puddle. It is sturdy, very easy to put together and low maintenance. When I received the hammock it was missing parts. I contacted the customer service and the parts were immediately mailed out. Yep, I would buy this hammock again if it crapped out today. I have fallen asleep a number of times while reading or just listening to music...I love it.

Disappointed because only after using it theee times, one of the chains that holds the hammock to the frame broke (one of the links opened). I had to contact the hammock manufacturer four times (with a usual wait time of 25 min on the phone) to get replacement chains. They initially said 4-7 business days. That was a month ago...

Does well with the three categories above. Would have been easier to assemble if the parts were labeled, but once figured out, was not difficult at all. However, not very comfortable because it’s too tight and knees don’t bend backwards. Worst part is, they claim it’s weather tolerant. Mine was in the rain and absorbed water like a diaper. Looks like a water mattress and that’s no exaggeration. It’s been drying out for days and still wet. May not be dry by the next rainfall. Gets harder to move while wet. Unless you plan to keep the hammock inside when not in use, I do not recommend it.

Very, very easy to put together. The frame simply snaps together with buttons, so it can be dismantled just as easily. I'm a small woman, and had no trouble putting it together. Very lightweight to move around, and comfortable. Sturdy. Initially the flex built into the frame is disconcerting, but now I appreciate it. Very comfortable. I will be replacing the chains to customize the length somewhat, but that's personal preference. I'm using this to sleep in full time until remodeling is done in the bedroom and it's super cheap option, and very comfortable.
