I wanted a overall smaller reel knob and this fit the bill perfectly. The roller bearings are a great upgrade over the nylon bushings that these reel handles come with. Installation was a snap also. This worked so well I bought a second one for my other reel. These were installed on Shimano Saragosa SW 6000’s. The kits came with extra parts which also included shafts that can be installed if needed. This kit is well worth the money. I found out about these knows from a fishing buddy of mine. He told me I needed to get a few to add to my reels and I would not regret it. He was right!! So the knobs itself is very nice the directions however are not . You have to cut the old shaft off. It does not mention that anyplace . After you cut it off you need to drill the hole out. Start small and go bigger until it fits. Snug is better than loose! I ended up at 15/64th . You are going to want to use locktite on the screw that holds it to the handle. I was definitely nervous drilling my $150 reel but it was actually pretty simple. Start to finish took about 10 minutes . Make sure you drill the hole straight. ... show more

I have put these knobs on all of my reels. They are beautiful, well made and super smooth turning with 2 ball bearings inside. I have mostly Penn reels and you have to cut the stock knob off the handle and drill a hole for mounting. Make sure you drill the right size hole. For the smaller knobs/shaft it’s a #10 drill. I cannot remember the size of the larger shaft, but I used a micrometer to determine the size and it was a US drill. Not difficult, but need a vice and proper drill. ... show more

Put this power knob on my penn spinfisher 6500 live liner reel and it looks awesome!!! Only 4 stars bc it is a drill fit and a bit of a pain in the ass. If your not a patient person you won't get the install correct on this. You have to get the hole drilled out for a tight fit which i did but its a tedious process. Getting the ol rivot out was also a slow process. But end result looks awesome, fits tightly, spins very well w/ bearings- end all glad i went for it!! ... show more

As alot of other reviews stated, this is a project. I decided to forego the whole hacksaw part and just gripped the old handle with a vise grip pliers and snapped it off. Then I drill the old rivet out by stepping up from small bit until it was the right size. Words of advice directions are horrible. Make sure you use locktite on the screw attaching the reel handle to the grip. The actual handle feels really well constructed. I will definitely do acouple more of my reels ... show more

I love theses power knobs , it’s true installing on a penn riveted style handle is not for the faint of heart but anyone with basic mechanical skills can install one of these, I see a lot of reviews about the handle screws backing out for starters you need to use lock tight red is my preference I also like to under size the drilled hole slightly and tap the shaft into the handle with a brass hammer or block of wood the will indefinitely stop the crew from backing out as it stops the any chances of the shaft from rotating . Do not lock tight the two knob halves together just get a really good grip with rubber gloves or paper towels and tighten it by hand. I never had one separate ... show more
