  • Use it almost everyday
Color: Light Blue
I use this almost every single day and appreciate how I can move it out of the way when I’m done quilting. It’s sturdy, even when my machine is grinding away at ludicrous speed The blue is adorable and I appreciate that it folds up to not take my space. If you’re using it to cut, the width may be an issue. My cutting mat hangs off the back side by a few inches, but I’ve had no problem cutting folded yardage or squaring up my quilt blocks. ... show more

  • Sturdy
Color: Grey
Very sturdy with a nice neutral color door opens easily with no problems. The only drawback is that you have to take the restraining dowel out each time you close the door after folding the top back

  • Compact, practical and plenty of work space
Color: White
I started sewing recently and needed a workbench but for a small area. Looking through Amazon I found this table and it seemed to have everything I needed and on budget, so I tried it and it paid off! It has enough workspace for me to work for hours on a sewing project. The shelving areas come handy while working to keep spools of thread or other necessary materials nearby. The height of the table is average, about three feet and works perfectly. It was easy to build, and it came with everything needed, including a combination Alan wrench/screwdriver. The table extension is a nice option for larger jobs because it offers a larger workspace, about 25” to 30” even with a full size machine. Once closed, the machine fits well on the shelve underneath for easy storage. The table is sturdy but I wouldn’t recommend leaning on it too much while open because it is not heavy wood and may topple if you place more weight than the unit itself. It is not much to look at, it’s a plain looking module but it’s minimalist and once closed it looks like a small dresser or end table. I would have preferred to have more drawer shelves instead of spool holders but it works well and gives the open table a nice visual touch. The small wheels help transport the table from room to room but they don’t feel super sturdy, so I suggest hauling carefully if you need to move it often. The wheels also have a break/stop option to keep them from moving. Overall the table was affordable, it looks neat, and the size is perfect for small spaces yet it offers plenty of work space. Perhaps taller people may have issues with the bottom shelve hitting their knees, but that is a standard issue with all compact seeing tables. I really like this table and highly recommend it. ... show more

  • Assembly Review
Color: White
I typically do not assemble the furniture I buy; I usually hire someone to do it. Yes, that’s how much of a Princess I am. However, since it was a holiday when I wanted to use the stand, I decided to give it a try. IT WENT VERY WELL! Here are the things I really appreciated. First, all the pieces are clearly labeled. The screws and other small parts come not only labeled but in their own separate bags. Second, there is a full-size printed assembly instruction book with step by step instructions written clearly AND accompanied by clear pictures. I hate tiny instruction books with tiny print and pictures you need a magnifying glass to see, so this full size book was a welcome sight. The instructions are in English only, which was fine for me. Third. All the holes for screws and dowels are pre-drilled to a depth that makes it easy to put the screws in. The holes for screws are deep enough that your screw stands up straight which makes it easy to get the screws in correctly. The holes for the dowels are drilled to the right size so you do not need a mallet to tap them in. Fourth, many of the screws are countersunk, which I appreciate because it keeps the surface smooth. Fifth, all the wood parts are clearly labeled with stickers. Hints and tips: I assembled this sewing machine cabinet on a table to keep from having to bend over continually. A 6” folding table would be ideal. The only time I needed another set of hands was in attaching the door to the cabinet base. The screws that hold the hinges on are very small so it was helpful to have someone else hold the door in place. If I had laid the piece on its side, I probably could’ve done it by myself, but my table wasn’t long enough. If you are new at this sort of assembly, there are two things you need to know. First, read the instructions AND look at the pictures. Be sure your parts are oriented the same was as the picture shows. This will keep you from putting things together upside down or wrong side out. Second, if there is more than 1 screw holding a piece on, don’t tighten any of the screws fully until you have them all started and going in. Sometimes you need to move the piece slightly to get all the screw holes to line up. Once they are all started, tighten them each a bit, back and forth, until they are all tight. The instructions called for a flat head and Phillips screwdriver. I only used the Phillips. Do NOT use a drill driver! I did end up with the beginnings of a blister on the middle finger of my screwdriver hand (told you I am a princess), but truly, it doesn’t take much strength to get the screws in since the holes are pre-drilled. If you are having trouble getting a screw in, you probably don’t have it in the hole. One problem: the only problem I had with the assembly is that the screw to put the knob on wasn’t long enough. The knob and screw set were probably supplied by a third party. I’ll pick up a longer screw in the same size or, better yet, buy a prettier knob with the appropriate screw. ... show more
