Took a chance on this set after reading tons of reviews. Here are the pros & cons of my experience. I kept it real brief. Positives: chairs and table delivered at same time, directions for table assembly very easy to understand; still took me 2 hours bc I did it alone and have no carpentry background; table pretty sturdy for the price point and cute; nothing fancy but you can definitely jazz it up depending how you dress it Negatives: Chair assembly and directions for chairs horrid in my opinion. My chairs, both, were also defective. Bent section in the back of the iron and missing pieces. I gave the company 5 STARS Bc they offered to refund my $ completely bc I can’t use the chairs. They went above and beyond to make it right. I didn’t even have to call. Two emails resolved this. So yes, I will need to find chairs to go with the table but I have the funds to do so since Best Choice refunded the purchase price. ... show more

    • Great table, difficult assembly

This was one of the more frustrating things I've ever put together. The instructions themselves are easy to follow, but getting the screws to line up perfectly was a complete headache. So many issues with the holes not being drilled in exactly the right places. If I could do it over again, I'd just eat the fee and have someone else set it up for me. It wasn't HARD, but it was tedious and annoying and took way longer than I expected it to. On the positive side, once assembled it looks GREAT. I have a tiny kitchen and needed something sturdy but compact. This fits in just right, and the additional storage shelves are awesome for a small space like mine. I've had issues before with small kitchen tables that were wobbly but this thing is SOLID and doesn't feel or look cheap. The chairs are pretty comfortable for what they are too. I'm a young professional living by myself in a studio, and this was a great value for me. It's a little bit smaller than I thought it would be, but I actually really like that it's compact and it can still comfortably seat two people. It works well as both my eating and work space, and gives me extra room because I don't have much of a counter in my kitchen. I love that it came with chairs so I didn't have to worry about ordering ones that matched the look and height. I have all of my mugs, cups, and bowls on the shelves for easy access, which allows me to store more food in my cabinets. The table was easy to put together and only took me about an hour and a half by myself. The first chair took me about an hour on its own, because the pieces were hard to fit together - I had to loosen some bolts and wiggle some things in order to get it to work. For the second chair, I put it together a little out of order and it took half of the time as the first. You might have to play with those middle bars a bit - the one on the top that sits under the seat and H-shaped one on the bottom. It is minimally wobbly, that's just part of owning particle board furniture. ... show more

The table itself was actually bigger than I was expecting, and surprisingly easy to put together, if not tedious. Good size, not too low, very sturdy, and quite nice looking. It actually looks so good that we opted to keep our current kitchen table despite it being so large and a leg being broken, and we're going to use it as a desk instead. The chairs were where I ran into problems. Those things were such a PAIN to put together. Not for lack of just being too complex, not at all. Simplest thing. But having to fight the legs to get the screws in to the point where it felt more like a workout than putting together furniture, and having to pull on and bend the pieces whole trying to screw stuff together? Not simple at all. Painful, actually. My hands cramped I don't know how many times trying to put the chairs together. At least it was only the one I really had to fight, but it was still painful and tedious. ... show more
