  • Snow Pusher Shovel
This shovel appears to be well made and pretty heavy duty. I'm sure I'm going to get to try it out this weekend because there is a huge snow storm hitting the northeast. It was easy to assemble but you will need a screw gun to attach the handle. It comes with 2 self tapping screws to attach it and there's no way you can do it with a manual screw driver. I don't know why they didn't just drill the holes and provide a nut and bolt like the rest of the shovel. ... show more

  • Jokes On Me...
Read reviews before you buy. You must assemble this yourself. I bought this in between major snow storms in the north east without reading reviews. I just looked for shovels that could get to me soonest because I needed reinforcements between my current shovel, snowblower and battery powered snow thrower. $50 later and the joke is on me because in their infinite wisdom, the only shovel available on the online marketplace of all things buyable and shippable is a build-it-yourself snow shovel. Therefore I shall now rest my weary bones from digging out of snowmageddon and the icepacolypse to DIY my brand new shovel that requires power tools because it wasn't templated properly with correct predrilled holes. So frustrating and a ridiculous amount of money for more work. I hope this is the best shovel in all the snowy land and the snowflakes will see that I assembled it and therefore it won't snow. You are potentially better off trying to find a fully assembled shovel at your local hardware store. ... show more

  • Great Snow Pusher / Shovel
I received this shovel and it seems very durable once assembled. Steel handle and steel blade, (heavy but solid) with the teflon wear reducing edge, factory installed on the blade edge. The assembly time for me using the included wrench’s was 10 minutes without glancing at instructions. Fairly obvious on the assembly. The only reason for the Four Star rating is that the handle requires a screw gun to use the self tapping metal screws to attach the D handle to the shaft. That in itself took five minutes to walk to the garage and grab the drill/driver. There were not any pilot holes, but the screws self tapping. I would expect this shovel to last several years. Good, solid snow pusher / shovel ... show more

  • A good pusher shovel - not for everyone.
Despite the negatives, this is a shovel that works for me. I like the adjustable - and replaceable - protectors and the heft is what I prefer for a pusher which is what this is. I would agree with employing a one-piece stem/pole but I don't foresee it being a problem. Because it comes in pieces means parts can be replaced when they wear out (ideally) - less need to replace the entire unit when the blade wears down (which may never happen if the blade guards are maintained - they can be flipped !). Understand this pusher shovel requires assembly but that doesn't take long. Complaints about the handle screws are somewhat unfounded. Assembly of the handle utilizes self-tapping screws. For best results, use a power-driver/drill to start the screws into the pole (the assembly instructions tell you as much) then hand-tighten the screw the rest of the way to avoid stripping them. Again, this is a pusher shovel and is not designed to lift and throw snow. The heft will assist keeping it on the ground. Choose with that in mind. ... show more

  • Great Snow Pusher, Questionable Build Quality could be Improved.
I am conflicted with the quality build vs. practicality of this snow pusher. First this shovel/snow-pusher blade section works very well. I was impressed that it pushed 10" of snow with ease and really got close to the pavement, more than other shovels i have had. It is a combo of metal and plastic guide. the plastic guide looks like it can be adjusted and replaced if needed. This pusher has some very good weight behind it, not light but effective in heavy snow. The build though was really disappointing from the shaft up to the handle. It comes in four pieces total, pusher blade, (2) shaft pieces and handle. You must put this together as it comes in a small flat box. That is where it went sideways for me. I could not get the sections tight enough so it didn't feel like it was wobbling while moving snow. Additionally the top handle must be installed with the self-threading screws, well reality is that will not work as the metal shaft is way to thick to self-tap. Drilling holes was required. Also the reflecting stickers that came with it will not keep adherence to the shaft, they keep coming off. Lastly, due to a bolt requirement about mid-shaft to connect the lower to upper piece, while using it my hand slipped down and caught the bolt. It ripped my glove. These probably should not be exposed the way they are. ... show more

  • Very good for an open area, driveway, sidewalk etc
Worked very well on the dry snow I had and on the slush afterward. Much better than the plastic garbage out there nowadays. Easy to assemble. Only wish the end of handle was something other than plastic, but it seems very durable. Much better than a scoop for an open area.

  • Way too heavy!
Omg! This shovel is way too heavy! Its like 15 lbs! You also need to build it yourself. Return!

  • Sturdy, great for heavy duty snow and even ice removal
Easy assembly but recommend using pliers or better yet, a socket wrench. Sturdy, first use was the ice and snow that hit the NE area of the country. The shovel itself is heavy, so this is not for anyone looking for a featherweight, but the shovel's weight makes it perfect for cleaning up from storms like our recent few. ... show more
