This canopy has several features that make it an exceptional choice. One, it can be opened and closed easily by one person. This is one of the first large (12') canopies that can truly be called a one person setup. Sure, you can set up canopies by yourself, but the struggle is real. This one truly makes it easy for one person setup. The center pole push lock is a game changer. It is also noticeably lighter than other 12'x12' canopies I've had in the past This canopy truly provides cover and protection from the sun. I've had canopies in the past that, while they kept the sun off of you, they were still very warm inside. I purchased the purple canopy, and you can feel a distinct temperature difference when you sit under it. We were happy with the inclusion of sandbags to hold down the legs on windy days, along with the normal assortment of guide wires and pegs to help tie it down. It comes in a roller carry case, which is standard for this level of canopy. We have used this several times: birthdays, pool parties, and performing house projects where some shade is needed, and it has worked wonderfully each time. I wouldn't hesitate to take this to little league sports practice or games, or the beach. Very disappointed in this canopy got it to use at camp to get out of rain. Didn't see anything when I purchased it that it's not waterproof I just as well sit in the rain not worth the money my last got to use this canopy all about 2 days started raining and it collapsed what a piece of junk I'd be ashamed to sell something like this to people

I only bought this canopy because the (American Made Crown brand) one I ordered and needed by a certain day, wasn't going to arrive in time. As it turned out, for our shooting day in the desert, both had arrived so I got to compare them side by side, literally. This canopy was clearly more 'lightweight' (flimsy). But it wasn't flimsy. If I didn't have the other for comparison, I probably wouldn't have noticed - but we were out in the high desert and their was a stiff breeze, so the wobbliness was more obvious. The support legs were less substantial: you could just feel it was a lower cost item. It worked GREAT. We used the provided tent-pins to secure it to the ground and it provided a large shady area. The erection and tear down went as well as you could expect - no surprises, no disappointments. I'm keeping it because the value for the cost I would describe as fair. I got expected quality for my expenditure.

Canopy was supposed to be used to cover inflatable above ground pool for the summer. Only got to use canopy for 2 weeks. Initial set up was fairly easy. On the first windy day we had, the canopy collapsed and some of the bars bent. We were able to set it back up and reinforce the weak joints with duct tape and retied the corners, but it collapsed again after a few minutes of rain the following week. This would be a better product if it could withstand a little wind and rain. The legs of the tent are heavy duty, but the support beams are flimsy. Expected more durability for the price. The canopy is to be tied, staked down, and weighted at the corners.....that is too much work to put it up and everyday.

I purchased one of these tents to see if I liked it better than the ones at my local Walmart. They are both a higher quality and at a better price. I ended up buying 2 more (this purchase) and continue to be impressed by the quality of the material for the price. The first one I purchased was a 10x10, the next two were 12x12. The 10x10 would definitely be more comfortable to take to the beach. The 12x12 are a bit more difficult to transport. Setup on the 10x10 can be done with a single person. I found the 12x12 to be slightly more difficult to set up with one person. Doable, but not ideal. We use them for BBQs and rainy day events. They are good quality. You won’t be disappointed.
