First, this lamp is the perfect size for a bedside table. It is compact and the cylindrical shade takes up no extra room. The low level light isn't intrusive. Medium gives good light, and high is great for reading. The best feature is being to able to switch the lamp on and off just by touching the wooden base or the metal. So convenient. Bought this for my son’s room and he likes it. The lamp is small but gets bright and lights up the room. The lampshade allows maximum light without hurting our eyes to look at it.
