The media could not be loaded. I wanted to change my review of this rod and its customer service support. I recently had an issue with the first rod I had purchased and I explained to support what happened. I guess it happens sometimes when parts fail but support sent a replacement out and it worked extremely well. I felt that the rod tip had plenty of feel to it and quality was there too I’m going to pasted some pictures up of some of the smaller grouper we catch up so you can see what and how we are fishing. We have not trolled yet I’m waiting for tarpon season. I do believe for the money it is worth every penny. I recently purchased this rod to do some 90 to 120 foot of water for grouper and snapper fishing I hooked in to a 28 inch grouper roughly 20 pounds (not big at all) and the rod itself fought well unfortunately if I didn’t have the strap on the canyon reel that I fished with I would’ve lost the reel although having it tighten down and the lock nut tightened down the rod twisted and jump the slide channel which in return the reel and everything fell apart I need to know on a warranty before I send it back to amazon then I will correct my review. ... show more

Decent for the price. Its usable but the rollers are not straight in line they are canted a few degrees from each other. The butt and reel seat is nice, very similar to an Aftco. I’ll put it to the test with a planer in a few weeks.

Decent rod. It's Heavy Duty enough for Wahoo, Mahi Mahi and Tuna. The problem is the PacBay rollers. Even if you hose the rod down good every time you go out they still get corroded and seize up. You have to take the rollers apart and clean them and oil them every couple of trips out. It's kind of a pain. I guess you get what you pay for and it would be fine if you only went fishing once or twice a year. I've had to take all the rollers off this rod and wire brush them with a brass brush on my drill and all the pieces are corroded. The rollers are made out of aluminum. ... show more

I could have spent a$1000 for an equivalent pole and it would be the same. This as an outstanding pole. Matched with a good reel you can't beat this pole! Used it on %/@/25 and caught a batch of Spanish Mackerel. There was a lack of bigger fish, we did not bring our down riggers.
